Ongelique Pyles: where can I get some Marley or Havanna hair? I can't find it at any of my beauty supplies. :-( I've tried Googling it but no luck. :-( Please help!
Mariah203: it's 12.99 a pack
Melissa Butler: i think $11, I say it in the video if i'm not mistaken and you can always go ahead and click the link. :-D thanx for watching!
Jalissa Willis: How much did the Havana hair cost?
Victoria B: lol I used the Marley Braid hair to try and do Havana twist and lets just say my hair looked like I grew locks overnight. It was cute tho I did a video on it, check it out on my channel. I discuss natural hair, extensions, fitness, education, life, etc, and sometimes if I'm feeling creative or silly I will post a skit. So be sure to check me out sometime. Thanks.
MissKAMKD: UGH! I am so mad I didn't read this first. In the video, I couldnt tell which one she recommended because she just kept saying "This hair.." and ".....this one and this one" So friggin confusing! Do better at labeling what you're speaking of so that we know what to buy. Geez!
MissKAMKD: I hate this fingercomber hair. It's very rough and course and you cant do anything with it! WASTE OF MONEY! I should have just got marley hair.
Melissa Butler: Thank you :-D.... it's revlon color-burst lip butter in lollipop if im not mistaken.
Nappybutterfly Callender: what color lipstick are you wearing. its a pretty color and it looks good on you.
Esha L: don't buy the finger comber hair I got mine 3 days ago and the hair is so nappy, hard and rough that it is hard to do anything with it. a waste of money
Melissa Butler: hmm I'm not sure, I think you should contact them but as far as the ends I have a tutorial where I show how I curl the ends. I twisted mine just fine so i'm unsure why you had an issue but I think you should contact them. Have you watched any tutorials?
Melissa Butler: The marey braid I found to be smoother while the finger comber is really coarse.
Kristin Grey: *rough oops
Kristin Grey: Which did you say is softer? I don't want to buy the Finger Comber hair if it's ruff?
Melissa Butler: the promo code is: Therealmellyb :-)
2013LPN: Lots of people use the marley hair. Just youtube it in the search bar and a lot of post will come up. Marley hair is really nice to crochet with.
JazelleRozayVP: Well! I have NOT ordered the hair yet, but now im excited lol :)
Dannielle M.: ok..i'll check them out
Melissa Butler: oo cool I haven't tried crochet braids yet. I have more hair vids though.
Dannielle M.: Im doing crochet braids and this will be my 3rd hair attempt, an I was just looking for new hair to use an your video came up when I was looking for "crochet braids using marley hair".
Melissa Butler: Hey girl! how did you find my youtube? I will def be doing more hair videos :-)
Dannielle M.: Hey I love the video, an its me Dannie from Eng 150 wit Pro. Greene of Sp 12. Do more hair videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Melissa Butler: will do :-)
L. John: Sweet. Let me know how it works out!
Melissa Butler: Makes sense. I will put them in for valentines day then keep them until I come back from my cruise (mid march) which should be about 6 weeks :-)
L. John: Oh. I like to keep mine in longer. It's nice not having to do my hair for awhile!
Melissa Butler: ook I usually only keep my hair in for 1 month max b/c i get bored and miss my hair but I will try to keep it in really long to do a in-depth review
L. John: Oh, haha. I mean 3 times of 6-8 weeks each.
Melissa Butler: I meant like 3 times (1 month each use) or 3 times (3 months each time)? But I actually am planning on trying a technique to make my havana twist longer too cause I love hair longer.
L. John: Lol. I have fairly long natural hair (a little below my shoulders), so I would want/need long(er) twists rather than short(er) ones.
Melissa Butler: I will try twist with the hair 3 times just for you. lolzz but what length of time are you thinking of for each time?
L. John: Hmm...I only do braids/twists in my hair, I don't like wearing it out much...so for the Havana hair to be worth it to me, it would need to have at least 3 sets of twist in it, because it you can only use it twice, it would be cheaper to just buy and use Marley braid hair.
Melissa Butler: Well thats tricky I have re used it once for havana twists but I have used it several times for faux buns and pompadours. The hair is still fine. I am planning on using it for a third time along with more havana hair, I will make a review after that use describing how well the hair holds up.
L. John: Do you know how many times it can be reused? If it can only be reused once for example, I can't justify the price, but it you can use it 3+ times I could.
Melissa Butler: if you haven't already ordered I will have a coupon code soon for my lovely subbies to get upgraded shipping. :-)
Melissa Butler: havanna twist hair can be reused so I'm feeling better about the price now. If you are still thinking of buying it you should subscribe to my channel and I will be making a video soon with a coupon code that will upgrade your shipping. :-)
L. John: The Marley braid hair they have at Sally's (Vienna brand) is fairly coarse. I had twists put in using it, and a week later, my hair looks just as good, if not better than it did when I first got it done! The texture definitively has some good curls, and it's a bit puffy, especially if you separate it out first. It's $8 a pack, so it's definitely easier on your wallet if extensions aren't something you normally do. I do want to try the Havana twist hair though, especially since you can reuse it.
Melissa Butler: yes I will be ordering some more too, just beware it will hurt your pockets a bit. lolzz
JazelleRozayVP: OMG yall just gave me life, i will be ordering this hair today lol .
Melissa Butler: Yes it worth it though I can honestly say that. I still use the hair for faux buns and pompadours too.
ColourMeChoco: i just ordered this hair (its pricey) but im really glad your reviewed it :] that way I can feel better about the money aspect of it. Im glad you can reuse it.
Melissa Butler: Please do... can't wait to find out the turn out! :-)
AKIYIAKELLY: Thank you so much!
I am going to get some of this hair. :-))
I will keep you posted.
Melissa Butler: Havanna twists hands down for 2 strand twists and durability, I was able to wash and reuse the hair. I ended up trying 4 different brands of marley braid and they all we're too soft for the 2 strand twist, I will keep trying them out but right now Havanna twists hair has them beat.
AKIYIAKELLY: So which do you think was better?
Melissa Butler: N/P i was too thats why I decided to share the info :-)
I was wondering what the diffrence was.
Melissa Butler: you welome, hope it was helpful.... :-)
Mahogany Philly: This is a useful comparison. Thank you!
Living Social: I got a groupon from Miami and almost got tricked. The description was way off for that the deal they were offering. I found groupon reviews that several people had the same issue. Luckily Groupon honor a refund, but my time was wasted.
