WDJ Galvao: Hey there! I got a taurus 2000 and I'm getting a clicking noise between the
transmission and the axle i pushed the axle and there is no more room to go
into the trans, will that be a problem with the axle or the trans? Thanks!

Kris Burger: I have a problem with my '02 ford Taurus. Whenever I shift into a new gear
that applies or releases pressure, we always hear a big clunk kind of
noise. My step father and I have asked around and we have come to the
conclusion that it is either the CV joint, or Transmission Mount. Do you
agree with that conclusion? We're supposed to be looking at it this weekend.
Adam Adams: Hi Mike, I have seen this done on a different vehicle where the hub was
left hanging on the strut. Is that possible on this model of vehicle?

parsons585: I just had both drive axles replaced by a shop that has a good reputation
but on acceleration there is a little vibration/shutter for just a few
moments until it gets to speed. For some reason their mechanic says he
can't feel it. I don't know if I'm getting the run around or not. What
could cause that? It's my wife's car and she noticed it first and I thought
she might be imagining something but I have to agree with her as I don't
remember that from earlier times I drove it before the work.
1A Auto Parts: @georgebenfield On our vehicle there was a washer and a 30MM nut that you
would need to put back on. This holds the axle to the hub. Hope this helps
1A Auto Parts: You may want to check the simple things like the tires are up to their
proper pressure, also check the sway bar links to see if they're worn out.

Larry Thornton: I can't get this to work for me. I get where the strut is still about 1
inch inside the knuckle, then it jumps back in to about two inches. I
bought a 4 lb hammer for this and I have beat the hell out of it.
26dolla: did u say the hub bolt is 100lbs torque? is this the same for a 03 corolla?

this. If you have a Chiltons or a Haynes manual they may show you how to
David Seaver: @1aauto I actually figured it out a couple of days ago, and I was able to
get the old band onto the boot with it off of the transmission axle
housing, and then shimmying the boot onto the transmission axle housing.
Before I was trying to put the band on with the boot still on the trans.

shaft that I purchased from napa auto parts I found how to do it on
ehow.com but when I have installed the new half shaft my transmission locks
up how can I fix it? I have tried doing it about 8-10 times but the same

the replacement boot they sold me is only the thin, plyable outer rubber

progress...why? Because I don't have a deep enough 30mm socket to take off
the wheel hub bolt...I called it!!! Pep Boys had one but it was for an
impact wrench...$36.00, NO...4 other place didn't have one, and Napa Auto
had one, for an impact wrench...$29.00...NO...

transmission in my 03 Taurus is going.. Every time i make a left turn.. the
transmission slips a little bit engine hits about 4000rpms then it catches

it's easier to just replace the axle.

some of the basic procedures shown in this video to your Focus.
DoctorPfunk: I didn't realize it at the time, but one of my boot clamps popped off while
I was replacing my shocks last week. I figured it out when the CV joint
started clicking. Is it too late to just put a new boot clamp on it?

gotta take off the drive axle. I was scared of doing it and it's still
sitting in the driveway. But after watching this video, everything seems
similar and will try it tomorrow morn. Your videos are the best out there.

serchmarc: hi,i have a GM daewoo racer at my shop,and the inner part drive axel refuse
to pop out or come out from the tranny,you said use a pry bar but i saw (in
japanese cars) that is a snap ring holding the entire body of the inner
axel part,besides the end snap ring ,i dont want to pull it to hard and
screw something up,what you recommend?clean and inspect if there s a big
ring?if dont just pry the part out?cause thats what im gonna do,cause this
is not difficul but its always ask colleagues,cheers :)
