kaylor87: To be honest, I didnt really watch the video because I was kinda just
flippin through a bunch... But I gave you a thumbs up for the song! I love
Alter Bridge, great choice, man!
Haus of Guns: @tylerdtharp Great thought on the laser as a deterrent. I hadn't actually
considered it as a psychological advantage but you make a good point. I'd
be just as happy with the Bodyguard even if it didn't have the laser sight.
Haus of Guns: Sounds like we're in the same boat. Similar size and for me the Bodyguard
was hands down a better fit. Also, the laser was my biggest downside but
with decent sights I never anticipated using the laser.
martian59: Seems to be a nice gun. I'm trying to order one now instead of the Taurus
TCP that I had decided to buy. I have a new Taurus PT111 G2 so I'm not
anti-Taurus. Anyone who dismisses the .380 round hasn't been shot by
anything. I have no doubts whatsoever that if needed, putting a couple of
380's in a person will greatly diminish any danger, if not remove it
completely. Thanks for the review.
Haus of Guns: @mjgeb Fortunately for me I can't comment on S&W's customer service but I'm
sure they'll make things right.
Haus of Guns: I shot the Nano during Range Day for SHOT show and hated it. Blocky on top,
not enough grip. Couldn't even get 2 fingers around the grip very well AND
the recoil was awful. Definitely low on the micro 9mm list IMO. That said,
it was accurate as I wanted it to be even at 20 yards where the plates were
mjgeb: I'm just hoping S&W makes me a happy .380 owner...that's all I want.
killallcommies1: i ordered 1 today, 282.00 / for that price its like buying an insight
pistol laser and they throw in the gun and mag for free
johnpaulwynn: Thanks for the review! Other reviews on YouTube have said the trigger is
sub-par. Any comment on it? I'm looking for a CCW gun and considering the
LC9, PF9, and the Bodyguard 380.
Haus of Guns: Tyler can jump in on this, but MOST of the big box stores have discounts if
you just ask.
imachku: would you say this is a comfortable gun to shoot?
BumpassDave: I bought one, and can't wait until a Mag extender comes out to give a
better grip and hopefully 2x more rounds. Other than that, sweet weapon, my
serial number is in the 5000 range so all of the stove pipe issues have not
quarterboat: Hi, no offense, it's just that I like music and when I see a video on
motorcycles for example or animals or guns, it gives me a mental wedgie
because my mind tries to go in two directions. I'm attracted to the music
but want to pay attention to the subject. Maybe I have a weak mind. That
wouldn't surprise me. Have a good evening...
morrisc0de: How's the Bodyguard holding up? I've heard after a few hundred shots the
laser screw comes out and jams. Have you h ad any issues?
filmgekko: Great video and review. Its very refreshing to see a good quality review,
wail still highlighting proper safety practices, even noting that there was
not a camera operator, great job. thanks.
neolightproductions: Love the video. I'll be purchasing my first defense pocket pistol soon. I'm
really liking how small this one is. Have you tried the Berretta Nano?
Haus of Guns: @hublanomad Glad you feel like it was helpful. Definitely a winner in our
Haus of Guns: @tracel2000 For the value we felt like it gave a lot for what it cost. It's
proven very reliable for me and the laser hits dead on where I put it.
Another big notable item about this was how much better it felt in the
hands in comparison to other micro compacts, i.e. the Kahr P380, Ruger LCP,
Keltec P3AT and others. I've had guys tell me its ugly and others tell me
just as candidly they think it's beautiful. Haha, not sure which is right,
but it's a shooter for sure.
William Taylor: Can it be bought in the UK?
Haus of Guns: @johnpaulwynn The PF9's trigger will be much worse than this one and that
little hand cannon kicks like a mule. I can't speak on the LC9 but I
personally had and gave heavy workouts to a Ruger LCP and the trigger was
horrid. It was a bit lighter than this one, but lots of plan and a LONG,
LONG pull. BUT, they're both 9mm, so you've gotta weigh the pros & cons
against a 380 and 9mm.
Steve Sanders: I love my bodyguard but it took some time for me to get used to taking up
the slack in the trigger while composing the shot to keep the rounds on
target - long pull. I have big hands so it really helped adding Garrison XL
grip extensions to help with managing recoil. The lifetime warranty from
S&W helped me in my decision. Thanks for the review!
hannstv: Nice clear review. This was the first video of this poster that I've
watched. Have signed up, will watch more.
ThePackratg: No worries, you will not need the laser if you have to use this .380.
TacticalLumberjack: So I traded my Sig P238 in for one of these, straight across. I'm SO much
happier. I feel much safer carrying a double action than the single action,
and the trigger is still very good in my opinion.
Haus of Guns: @killallcommies1 What an amazing deal! I'm extremely jealous as I paid
almost double that when they were new a year ago. Where did you order it
morrisc0de: @hausofguns I was asking because I wanted to purchase one of these, but in
the S&W forums I saw people having issues with the laser or the laser
screw, I wanted to know if you experienced any issues with it. Since you
have not, I'll probably get one. I love the look of the gun and it feels
better in my hand than an LCP. I wasn't trying to be snooty. I was
concerned because I want one....
Bernie Sanchez: i picked up one for the wife but i love it so i keep it add it to my toy
list good video
ncs2000: music too loud, voice too soft, other than that, nice video
The3rdID: Haha when you were doing the shooting I was wondering "Wtf how are you
missing that bad, that target's HUGE!" Then you moved next to it and its
pretty tiny from that range haha.
Davydude7: What types of stores can you take advantage of a military discount?
dogshmog: Saw you on American Guns last night, and thought where have I seen this
oneeyedpatriot: Thanks for sharing. It seems like a good gun for it's intended purpose.
Haus of Guns: @GeeBeisH The targets are Birchwood-Casey shoot-n-see. They work for all
calibers and come in all sizes.
MrAchan20: Cool little gun. I was wanting to get this gun for my girlfriend when she
gets her CWP. Would you recommend this gun for a female? I want to get her
something small, but not 22 small.
hublanomad: Great review I think you have convinced me to go ahead and purchase this
weerd2normal: my first pistol ever fired, nice little pistol, kicks pretty heavy for the
round tho :P
g p: Cool video Nice Laser option.....But what a Rotten Gun.. I bought one and
right out of the box it was bad with a malfunctioning trigger, real nice
Quality control there ....S & W...NOT...! Already sent back for replacement
beknd4pees: ive been thinking about trading my diamondback db380 for one of these
Haus of Guns: @filmgekko 95% of the time I'm filming myself. Helps the viewer see
different function of the gun in a way you could not safely do so in
person. Thanks for the kind words, glad the review was helpful.
BadM0j086: Thanks for the review!
casmoneansthefourth: thanks Haus.
1040charlie: i want that gun, i need that gun!!!,,,but california won't let
GunManDownGMD: @hausofguns hey, i'd like to ask if you carry this gun in public (like in
your holster or pocket or somewhere) please answer?
Haus of Guns: @morrisc0de No worries. I read reviews and talk on forums before I move
forward on anything. That's the whole reason Haus of Guns started! I think
you would be very satisfied. It's not larger than the LCP but it's
definitely a different profile that IMO is friendly to a little bit bigger
awh21: @imachku for a .380 hell yea. its a great gun
TacticalLumberjack: Would you say that this pistol could handle Buffalo Bore +P .380? I've
heard that some of the really light polymer .380's (p3at, LCP, etc)
shouldn't shoot the +P stuff, but something a bit sturdier like a Sig P238
Haus of Guns: @mjgeb Thanks for the info. Funny you're the second comment in a row
unhappy with the trigger. Totally surprises me as mine has been flawless at
the listed 6.5 lbs. Never one misfire with over 1000 rounds through it too.
Appreciate the heads up and warning suggestions.
matthew jonker: Could the trigger be lightened by modifying the action or is that not
Haus of Guns: No worries, I relate 100% to the distraction factor.
Haus of Guns: @RedSoxBowHunter I couldn't speak from experience on this one. BUT it is
VERY thin and compact. With the right holster and a dedicated pocket I'm
sure it would fit nicely.
