Danie van der Merwe: This is a how-to video to install this custom ROM onto a MK808 based
Android TV stick... apart from sorting out some stretch display issue it
also allows the CPU clock speed to move from the 1.2GHz factory setting to
1.6GHz (it is rated fo 1.6GHz)... The ROM also adds a shutdown feature
(does not switch the power off but does power down the UI)...
Unfortunately this stick has no Bluetooth but on USB my PC's mouse as well
as Logitech webcam all work fine...
Olawale Odukoya: Please help!!! when i plugged the device windows found it and i did the
reboot to flash mode. then i tried installing the drivers again as
described in the video but windows wont install the drivers. is it because
am using windows 8.1?
Frank Acosta: cool video going to try it.
Everton Nobre: When I plug in the USB it recognizes and then disconnects because it is not
help me please!
fppa83: does it work on mk809ii??
clemmo1971: Love your videos mate, thanks!
relaxxxrrr: Great info but why do they call this a ROM?? It is a NAND FLASH not a
Nintendo game cartridge... ROM's can't be flashed.
SomeCoolTech: I'ld go for the iMito. Its seems snappier, and I think the screen looks
better on the iMito too.
SomeCoolTech: I'll try to do the droidmote video soon. Yeah it should work if you are
rooted. Is droidmote just not running or are you not connecting? I think
the biggest difficulty people have with droidmote is getting their network
to connect. The server should tell you the IP address and then you put that
into your phone to connect. Make sure you phone is connected to your wifi
network because if its on you mobile network it wont work. both devices
have to be on your home network. good luck
Sean Drohan: Never mind... Im a dumb ass... Plugged both OTG ports in at the same time =
Àlex Marlés Alcaraz: What's this launcher name? I installed the Finless ROM but that in the
video is not the default launcher.
Diego Enriquez: Hi can this method be used for any chinese made android tv pc with ice
cream sandwich o.s? I bought one but it's not a mk808 model. thanks
SomeCoolTech: Glad I could help. I think the Neo X5 looks pretty cool. I would love to
have the extra USB ports and ethernet too. I was thinking about getting it
but I already have 3 others and as fast as these things are being released
I think I'm going to wait for a quad core for my next device. The
Hardkernal Droid U2 looks interesting. I wish I didn't have to work I could
spend all day everyday experimenting.
TrentJason: If you get "no found rkandroid rock usb" after installing drivers, try to
different USB port in PC. Worked for me. Thanks for the video, it helped.
Danny Teunissen: I have the 1,5a it looks more stable and the youtube bug seems to be gone.
WiFi also seems stable. I must play more to be saying
noor811: Thanks a bunch! Finless 1.5 worked, now I am super happy with my
SS808/MK808 purchase. By the way, SS808 should be mentioned in the title
since its pretty much the same as MK808. :)
Stephen Arnold: Can you help me. I'm on my third MK 809. One is in a boot loop and the
other will go to the launcher but wont open any apps. (the other I returned
after being stuck in a boot loop) any suggestions?
narasingarao kommireddi: Good one.. It was very informative..
wenrickeren tandi: My MK 808 could't play, just boot with monitor write "ANDROID" , what shall
i do?please help me
exxplosive: Thanks again, buddy for your help with this could not get the windows ding
until I saw your paperclip method.... have you seen the new Minix Neo X5
looks good but a bit to big for my likely, the only other thing i am
considering to purchase is the Hardkernal Droid-U2 dev board... check it
Davor Trumbic: Hi ! I have MK809 , Is it possible the same procedure flashing rom ,or
making the root for instaling linux os.
TheDayton56: Did you buy from in4dealz? What do you think of the Mk808? I want to run it
with wired Internet and a usb sound card. Based on my reading the 1.5a ROM
needs installed to allow me to do it. I'm contemplating whether I should
buy the MK808 or wait for the release of the Uhost2.
Tamás Tóth: my parents' SONY FullHD TV says it's unsupported signal when I choose from
the grid view and the other one. As soon as i click on either of the
buttons the screen goes blank, can't even check the just once or always
buttons. I can hard reset the MK808 in order to install another finless
rom, but I'd like to use the latest one. Do you have any guesses what could
be the problem? I used the 1.7c from the description, and followed the
instructions step by step.
MegaDeblow: thanks for the vid, updated my firmware without any problems. Only problem
i still have is WiFi is very very slow, i can see you have what looks to be
a WiFi dongle? can you tell me if its any good and what speeds you get and
the make and model please. Thanks
Keith D Kerrigan Jr: Aaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeee
SomeCoolTech: You might have a hardware issue. Mine would flash black and the sometimes
come back as green. I got better when I installed the 1.4 ROM. You might
have a hardware issue with the MK808 though. You could try the 1.5A ROM
(make sure its the A version) otherwise you may need to RMA it or maybe
even exchange it for the imito mx1.
SomeCoolTech: Thanks! The dongle is for my wireless mouse.
SomeCoolTech: You might be able do the procedure where you hold the button down then plug
in the mk808 (its in the vid). when the computer sees it go to device
manager and delete the device with the exclamation mark by it. Then refresh
device manager hopefully it finds new hardware and point it to the drivers.
if not unplug the MK808 and hold the button down again. You need to be able
to point the device to the included drivers. Once that works then
disconnect everything and restart.
saborguerito: awwww yeeeeaeh. dislike
Veggos: Hello , can u tell me how to flash the kernel ? Thank you in advance
NoMercy1900: How do you power up the MK808? Dont use the USB port on your TV to power
up, use at least 2amps power supply and that might fix your problem.
Acemaniac1000: does this rom work on the mk808b...?
Ray Niccolls: does anyone know where the get the usb driver for the mk808b for windows 8?
Fred Tice: How do you check to see what ROM version you are running at the moment?
Thanks, enjoy all of your tutorials. Market Drayton, UK. :)
theman7431: it says put the device in mass storage mode? jelly bean dont have that in
settings now what do i do?
Rintarou Okabe: Does the mk808 have clones? mine doesnt say sain smart and it's a non b
model just mk808 can i flash finless 1.7 without worries?
Michael Mantion: Thank you for all the vids I just bought mine.. $52 buck.
dan law: Hey what would you choose MK808 or iMoto MX1 performance wise? Also and
why? Bluetooth doesn't matter to me.
Daniel Mclaughlin: I know this is a stupid question but im knew to android, will this whipe
all the data on my mini PC
SomeCoolTech: Well, I don't have sling box so Im not 100% sure. One thing I can tell you
is that if sling box works on your android phone or tablet it will probably
wonk on the MK808/iMito MX1. These work pretty well with a lot of apps.
Ice IceGaming: Does this work for gs3
מוטי כפיר: Thanks I downloaded it and its make my mini pc over heat and restart
alix514ify: Ah yeah now installed 1.5a rom it works great not getting hot and its fast
enough no lag, but processor frequency is weird 1,6 ghz on interactive
should be fantastic. Wifi works great flash player doing it good its ok.
SomeCoolTech: you can download it strait your your android mini PC. Look through my
videos and there one about XBMC. In the video description there's a like
that should get you there.
SomeCoolTech: Yes, It has all the languages as the original maybe even more. I didn't see
the work Czech anywhere though. Would it maybe spelled differently or in
non English letters? Check my video with the thumbnail of a tropical beach
i scroll though the languages you can pause the video and see whats there.
SomeCoolTech: Yes I will when i get some free time. Are you rooted?
מוטי כפיר: Is their ani rom or firmware that solved this problem for u? Thanks
kidilam01: When I press the reboot to flash mode, it says "msc device can't upgrade".
I tried installing the driver manually and still it didn't work.
