Lazernut116: exactly the same wiv me, but the one from Black reach ain't that good
MrSimmix: @MrDreamblade Ok thnx
jamohanleva: @Lazernut116 Well if you buy a normal Dreadnought model, you can change the
Black Reach Dreadnoughts weapons. Soo i can make both the one whit
Lascannon/Missile Launcher and one whit Assault Cannon/Power Fist. (Theres
nothing in the rules saying i cant)
Dongabhana: what are your tac squads doing while your dread is fighting? flanking?
777rick777: I gotta say man, you were right about the Ironclad, I love that thing,
wreaks havoc on my enemies every single time I field it
dragonstormx: Well I don't see anything that says the Dreadnaught doesn't have the
initiative penalty for chainfists, so I'm assuming it does here, and 2D6
against vehicles seems kinda over when it's S10, and the seismic hammer
when rolling for results takes a vehicle out on a 4+, so I'd stick with
eldergroan: ah, but vehicle mounted plasma weapons DON"T get hot, see rulebook pg. 31.
that's what makes them great on drednoughts! 8D
Dr. Gromov: @RepublicCustoms well, i wont go after a land raider with my dread..... i
have my other vehicles for that (and combat squads with meltas) like i
said, i'll go after heavy infantry with it and thats where the plasma
cannon is great but thats just my opinion, i just happen to be a huge
plasma weapon fan xD
Lemonshark38: Can they shoot over cover?
MrSimmix: @MrSimmix Ok guys plz stop sending me replies on my previous comment i
already got a trillion of 'em. Thnx for everyone that replied.
RepublicCustoms: @188Katana188 "...who goes after tanks with a close combat dread?" That's
the point. No one does. You go after infantry with it and if a vehicle just
happens to cross its path, either shoot it to death with the ass cannon or
pulverize it with that big ol' dreadnought close combat weapon. And
remember, rending works against infantry too, not just armour. Now let's
see you penetrate a Land Raider with that plasma cannon of yours.
mrcodbattlefield: I have normal dreadnought from assault on black reach and I sent him
running with my marneus calgar( however you spell it) and his carnifex
could not destroy it at all it was funny as hell kickin his arse
aes620hb2: @mucoguy42 darn
Tridege: Good. I have been trying to find a way to use an ironclad. Thanks Fritz.
EagleArk: how many attacks dose the black reach dred get in close combat? i need to
Matthew Aitken: @MrSimmix The previous comment was not a hate comment. I was just telling
you that you should do some research pre-hand so you have a basic concept
of the game. Thankyou. - SmerkenKerk
aerohurtz: Do vehicles get cover saves? wouldnt it be " Hull Down " if anything?
himmler722: tank hunter is plus 1 on pen chart
Hatsune Miku: Also, if you play vs orks, 2 HFs is best to eliminate those hordes.
Spencer Harrison: awsome vide man awsome job 5/5 but i just want to know one thing why dont
you show your face ever? please respon
Mikael Pettersson: I like to take a dreadnaught with multimelta and dreadnaught close combat
weapon in a drop pod, make it land behind your enemies vehichles and shoot
its rear armour from turn 1. That 2d6 to penetrate armour if its within 12"
almost always makes a damage and the ap1 gives you a +1 in the vehichle
damage table. Then the enemy has to take you down and give you time or let
you continue to roam around. XD
thatkid358: @StarwarsGeek10 no im not just starting out... i started out just before
the tyranids got their 4th edition codex and i chose to play as tyranids...
i was just saying that i was thinking about starting a second army of space
SanctumNecare: An anti-tank flamer thing.
th1nkman: I just never had any luck with dreadnots. It seems like unless you're gonna
put him in a drop pod, all he's gonna do is soak up shots. That's pretty
useful, sure, but I don't really want to spend the points on a unit that is
just gonna get swatted. Besides, that's what rhinos and razorbacks are for.
Roman Reschke: Tank Hunter add plus one to the result table not the strength , i whish man
if i could have walking braodsides like theos , it pritty much in other
words mean if it is AP2 it is now AP1 , but not to confuse poeple, it only
add plus one to the result on the table to see what happens.
starchubs: i play black templars but you can re roll penitrating or glancing hit
Michael Nichols: lolz, tank hunter boost strn. by 1
Shane McCarthy: Runnin with ya landraiders and rhino's is almost goin suicide so be careful
Lachlanfleming): what about space wolves, should u go close combat for it
Dedonlogo: @188Katana188 Tank Hunter Assault Cannon build, obliterates Skimmers,
Rhinos and etc.
AIzero1: oh... thanks for explaining it. looks like i'm gonna have to read up on the
rules again to remind myself
Lindsay Davies-White: @BigAl4123 same package
blotercraze: Diggin these tactics videos. They've definately helped me build my llists
Hatsune Miku: Chainfist. 2D6 armor pen is much more interesting.
vernerhill: i like taking dual twin linked auto cannons on my dreads. its low points
and you get 4 twin linked strength 7 hits.
AdrenalineFRAP: do codex space marine still ignore armour saves with the close combat weapon
shawty390: y does it always seem when i face space marines with my orks the dreads
always seem to wreck or explode evan with my ork shooting well i shoot with
my bikes so yea i always rip apart dreads and termanaters
Will Horsman: Awesome vid bro.
jamohanleva: im gonna get an Ironclad :) already got the one from Black Reach set
JJ gray: If he can't shoot he is pointless
Lindsay Davies-White: @quilavamaster That is a good line of thinking, but the big bonus to having
a dreadnought (or anything really) that has one specific task, is that it
will do that task potentially twice as well as it would with your
configuration. So a good idea would be to plan ahead, see if you want your
Dread to hang back as a range support unit, or if you want it to go up
in-your-face style to bash your opponents.
Chaim Goldstein: @188Katana188 but its not 4 shots -- if ur playing a smart person they will
have their peeps spred out so ull probably hit 1 or 2
Ismael Kafeltz: The blog in description is unavaiable for me. Hmmmm...
Vehementi: Always take dreads as long range. They're good in assault, but in long
range they really come into their own, they can hunt tanks amazingly. (And
chaos termies, lascannons S are double a termies toughness, so they'll only
get their 5+ inv save, even if you only take out 1 per turn, that can still
screw up the opposition's army. Only after they're outta tanks/defilers,
realwarbeast: i got dark angels army and my Dreadnought got arm and multimelta - it is ok?
eldergroan: if you want a smashy dred but don't want to lose the shooty altogether,
don't forget the plamsa cannon option.
BigAl4123: Another question, do you get the laz cannon or missile launcher when you
buy a dreadnought or are they in a special package you buy seperate?
ShiftKnife .: Hey i need an answer really quick, I have heard that the dreadnought from
assault on black reach is kinda cheesy... i don't believe this but a few
people say it is. I wanted to know because i was thinking about getting
that box set.
Inmemorial: Nice advice, standard things you should know. I like cc dreads but still
getting them to assault by just running is hard... I use them to defend
objectives or just support and scare my enemy ;]
Buemmo: @th1nkman in that case either assault that way that it has cover (e.g. a
cheap tac squad around him while assaulting) or stay back and if you have a
techmarine reinforce a building put your AT dread in there and just blast
the hell out of everything that gets in your sights
