Cerulean Fish: OMG... Sorry to resurrect the older thread. Just a BIG thx to the OP for
the advice. I was bumming in Hexxit playing really slow FPS. Just like the
vid R clicked found the Technic.exe launcher using the Intel HD chipset.
Changed that to NVidia and now I'm speedy again! Thank you so much for the
post, my FPS is now 60-80 FPS ;o). Thought my laptop was busted, LOLz
Geoff'sRandomStuff: errrr mah gawd we have the same laptop
Tino Brkic: I have nvidia but I run minecraft on java what should I do?
LVOproduction: 1) From NVIDIA Control Panel -> 'Manage 3D Settings' -> 'Program Settings',
2) Locate your javaw.exe (eg : 'C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin' (jre7 for
Java 7, 'Program Files (x86)' for 32-bit Java on x64 )), select 'open'.
3) Click apply
And you are done!
THUNDERBOLT: on a desktop yes on a laptop NO. allot of people go so but if your later
planing on getting a new graphics card on your desktop you can go from AMD
6000 series and nvidia up to 560ti and then you have to get a new prossesor
like a intel core i5 otherwise your i3 will bottle neck you high end
graphics card ending up getting lower frames than you would have with a
better cpu like i5 and up
xjakekyrianx: I LUV U (no homo)
LirisGaming: Go in the search thing type: "NVIDIA" > Then go to 3D settings, then either
do: General settings > Change Integrated graphics to "High performance
NVIDIA processor", or go to programms settings > choose minecraft > and put
NVIDIA integrated graphics. Hope it helps ^^

mmhmnms: Weird thing - After trying all that I decided to start messing with
minecraft settings. Set 'Advanced OpenGL' to OFF and restarted minecraft -
lo and behold, it started using my good graphics card!
BarryLlewellynperson: Awesome video man! I just can't find that option when I right click on mc..
There's also supposed to be a similar one under the Java application.. I
have a HD7870, and yes, the option does come up on some amd cards, but for
some reason its not coming up on mine.. Any ideas? I'm currently playing
Minecraft on 50 fps, when I should be able to play it on 600+! xD
Mygaffer: Here is a solution, don't use a laptop.
don pasion: @MC4Pros same here
ddtownLP: I play with 200-250 fps without shader. With shader 100 -150 :))
Grey4Hunter: I have a Nvidia Geforce 610M 2 gb, im going to buy a GTX660, do you think
it will help (the 610m 2 gb was the only one I had installed)?
PawnPowder: Holy freaking crap, you are a freaking god, freaking genius, and you just
freaking saved my life, because you are a freaking MASTER!!!!
alexpejovic1: I've got a slight problem. I always used this method (even before watching
this video) but now it seems that it has stopped working. I know this
because when I open up Minecraft now the icon on my taskbar says that I'm
not using the Nvidia card. I have this icon by going into the nvidia
control panel and enabling it. This has been happening ever since I have
installed Nvidia graphics driver 320.12 and Nvidia GeForce Experience.
matthewb1809: minecraft runs just fine for me. but when i want to film it i drop from 30

Turbo boost 8 Gb RAM and a 2 Gb Nvidia card. I couldnt figure out why i was
only running on 20-30 frames now im running about 200! Well I'm looking for
a solution to make my card run all the time (I am aware there is a way to
make it run everything but i don't know how yet...)
Miguel Rodriguez: omg ... thanks
bolt853: have you got Nvidia installed?
karlstermeister: @lilkriz11 sorry i didnt reply man i was on holiday while you posted and my
email was full of spam when i got back so i only seen your comment when i
checked the video. excuses aside im sorry and you simply press f3 in game.
karlstermeister: nvidia is a brand of graphics card, this software is pre installed on your
computer if you have a nvidia card. You probably could download the
software of their site but it would be useless. If you mean can you install
a nvidia card on your laptop, technically yes but feasiby no.
karlstermeister: @7TheGameHub7 did you get the link?
