elton eysh: what is a red primer for? what if there is no manual choke lever? what
would you do to unflood the motor?? thank you!
Chris Knoell: Thank you so much for the awesome tutorial. Even I think I can do this!
JasonStriationfilms: Really appreciate the training tip. Took the small engine course and they
never showed us how to do this. Thank you.
joe a: Good video & instructions. Thanks !
Lisa G.: Thank you. Great video! Couldn't figure out how to remove this type of
primer bulb. Very helpful, made life easier : )
Jeff Inselberger: would this apply to a lawboy as well??
and great vid

Ask the Builder: Great video. Fantastic job on the close up shots.
C Dillion: Does it matter if you use the primer with the hole or the one without the
KB in MD Last: What's the difference in the primer bulb with a hole in it and one without
the hole in it?
Barry McLaughlin: Donny does a bad bulb hinder the carburetor from running? I cleaned my
carb out today and used high compression air in the carb. The bulb
expanded and now doesn't work. I poured a bit of gas into the carb and
lawnmower started only for a brief second. Does the carb need a tight seal
for the gas to flow? Thanks in advance Barry
Vincent Kelly: Thanks a lot. That's just what I was looking for. I was wondering how to
remove that retaining clip.
Angelo Montante: Your the best I thought I needed a new primer and all that it was is water
in the bowl. Thanks you saved me
John: hey dony I need your help. Im fixing the same mower and the bulb works and
primes but will shut off after a couple seconds. I completely cleaned the
carb and all the ports seem fine, but gas doesn't seem to flow through
continuously. any suggestions?
johnnieb15: Thanks.. Been lookin for a video on this all day
FantasyAwakened: Holy crap finally so thats how you do it! Thankyou
jvargas454: Crying out loud.. THANK YOU!
Jeff Wall: Thanks a lot for this video
donyboy73: @mikebrady721 thanks for telling me
hardcoremofo: I am stuck with these 2 questions. 1. what happens if I prime the red bulb
more than 3 times like 8-10 times? 2. Is it normal if I over-prime, that I
see gas coming out of the carburetor bowl? Or that's a separate gasket
vermonter247: Thank you. I didn't realize it was that easy.
spiavsspia K: Another great vid. I have told (from the shops around here) that it is too
hard to replace them and just get a new cab.. However I see the truth of
the matter and it is what I have thought all the time thanks Donny!!!
akaBPhife: nice. . but think finding the parts will be the challenge now
dblixt1: I have to change the primer bulb in a 4.5 HP Tecumseh on a lawn boy. I
rebuilt and cleaned the carb and I still have the same symptoms, start and
stall and when I did manage to keep the engine running it would stall when
I installed the air cover. I did get the self propelled fixed though and
that is a plus. Making headway. :) Have a good day all of you and Dony...
lourox20: thank you!!!!
العامريه للميكنه الزراعيه: i bought digetal camera for make videos (repair lawnmower) soon i hope u

Pierre D: THX man appreciated
ncrdisabled Submarine vet: Great video I was told that Tecumseh was bankrupt and no longer made parts
or small engines. I have a older mower that can not get parts for and when
I went to NAPA and online stores have told me that info. Keep up the great
donyboy73: @th19940305 i stock a lot of them
donyboy73: @th19940305 it's my home garage converted into a shop
donyboy73: @joeysways i have a parts distributor, also mowers4u dot com is a good place
ClassicTVMan1981X: My 1984 Toro TNT100 engine (made by Tecumseh) seems to have a degrading
primer bulb (which may or may not be the catalyst for hard starting), and I
placed an order for a new one via Jack's Small Engines. I wonder if your
advice may work in the meantime?
David Quenzer: Very good video....exactly what I needed!!
jamie young: So I have changed my primer bulb but it will not prime way is causing
Robert Camp: donyboy 73. I have a tecumseh carb that is missing the primer bulb. Is
there a easy way to tell what primer bulb Is needed. Vector(black) or non
Vector (red)? Also could you explain the differences? Thanks for your help.
JustMeNoOther: Hi, just a doubt, I have a B&S lawn mower and when I push the primer but I
do not see the fuel jumping and of course do not start, I clean the carb
and all the holes are clean and without obstructing... but when I spray
'easy start liquid' into the carb entrance the mower starts perfect and I
see the fuel jumping and feeding the engine... what I'm doing wrong? Thnaks
Pgxi: thanks dony, i never replaced one on tecumseh i was wondering how it was
fastened to the carb....good information
Bruce Wayne: Thanks for the video. You make it look easy. Now to make sure I order the
correct replacement piece.
TheCaddy84: Knowing this can save a LOT of mowers. Do you have a vid on the symptoms
and strange off beat Rhythm sound of one running with a cracked bulb?
mikebrady721: thank u very much my primer was cracked and mower keeped stalling watched
ur vid...bought the bulb 4 6.00 dollars and replaced like u said ........3
primes and 1 pull later and it works fine thank u again........
Moparman58: @ncrdisabled they have after market parts. but tecumseh isnt bankrupt they
just dont make engines anymore, they make compressors.
mikebrady721: thank u for saveing me a lot of money watched u vid....bought part 4 6.00
dollars took 10mins and 1 pull mower works fine......my primer was craced
and mower keep stalling.....u can do it ............:')
cultwho: thank you, for showing the part number, the generic one size fits all
doesn't work, you're saving a lot of people a lot a trouble (like me with
the part number because Sears doesn't list it) From everyone who get to
have fun instead of working on their mower I wish we could pay you some of
that fun backers. Thanks dude!
Twisted86: I have a 15 year old craftsman and it will randomly die, sometimes it will
work for 3-4 full mowings with no problems, other times I will start and go
20FT and have it rev up and down 3-5 times and die, other times I will get
through half my yard before it happens and it will die and take 10-15
minutes before I can start it again. Any idea what could possibly be
causing this issue? I do basic maintenance on it like oil/gas/air filter.
One time when it died it spit out gas from the primer.
foreverwood1963: Man the socket is a great idea
Rarrin9378: @donyboy73 Ok good because I already ordered one and wasn't sure lol,
Chris Woods: Replaced mine late last summer, primer bulb never worked. Found this video,
pulled the bulb off, realized I didn't remove the retaining ring from the
old bulb. Pulled the retaining ring out (and the rubber behind it), cleaned
out the area with a screwdriver, then re-installed the bulb with a 19MM
socket and rubber hammer. Wouldn't you know it, started after three primes.
Thanks much for this video.
