surge98b: Great video. He's right be real easy on tapping the ring in. I broke a couple of tabs off first try.
Steve Arriaga: Thanks for the video...I replaced my primer bulb after watching your video...you make an easy job look easy and it is easy when you know how.
Bruce Wayne: Thanks for the video. You make it look easy. Now to make sure I order the correct replacement piece.
toastedaudiolab: Wouldn't I need to drain the gasoline first?
Freak1393: what about the hose ?
Bill Rodwick: Excellent video.
HORIZON8026: hey donyboy these typ of primers pump air not fuel or is that what the problem is hahaha. I thought the primed fuel or u could here it anyways
jamie young: So I have changed my primer bulb but it will not prime way is causing this????
Colin M: Thanks for the video, parts very easy to find since you show us the part number in your video. Ebay & donyboy73 to the rescue saving me loads. Thank you!
akaBPhife: nice. . but think finding the parts will be the challenge now
donyboy73: you may need to rebuild the carb, also make sure the gas cap is in good condition and venting
Twisted86: I have a 15 year old craftsman and it will randomly die, sometimes it will work for 3-4 full mowings with no problems, other times I will start and go 20FT and have it rev up and down 3-5 times and die, other times I will get through half my yard before it happens and it will die and take 10-15 minutes before I can start it again.
Any idea what could possibly be causing this issue? I do basic maintenance on it like oil/gas/air filter. One time when it died it spit out gas from the primer.
drafted72: Thank you so much for this video, exactly what I needed.
hardcoremofo: the reason I ask is I don't know if it's leaking because of the float needle/seat. My float right now is sitting way up not flat if I I hold the carb upside down. It feels like the needle won't go into the seat so it's up. In that case, what should be my mower/carb symptoms.
I'm thinking I should just replace it with the briggs carb kit, but it could be unnecessary.
donyboy73: yes it's normal to see gas come out the carb if you over-prime it
hardcoremofo: I am stuck with these 2 questions.
1. what happens if I prime the red bulb more than 3 times like 8-10 times?
2. Is it normal if I over-prime, that I see gas coming out of the carburetor bowl? Or that's a separate gasket issue.
George Jirout: Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I used every aspect of this video to replace my primer. In addition to obtaining new primer I also have obtained gratitude from your generosity. Thank you again †
chris johnson: Great video. Perfect. Thank you so much
Robert Camp: donyboy 73. I have a tecumseh carb that is missing the primer bulb. Is there a easy way to tell what primer bulb Is needed. Vector(black) or non Vector (red)? Also could you explain the differences? Thanks for your help.
dblixt1: Primer Bulb it was and I used a 3/4" socket which worked fine also....
dblixt1: I have to change the primer bulb in a 4.5 HP Tecumseh on a lawn boy. I rebuilt and cleaned the carb and I still have the same symptoms, start and stall and when I did manage to keep the engine running it would stall when I installed the air cover. I did get the self propelled fixed though and that is a plus. Making headway. :) Have a good day all of you and Dony...
Heavenly Valley Lodge: Thanks for the video! I could not figure out for the life of me how to get this sucker out, and your video solved the problem, and made it easy!!
lourox20: thank you!!!!
rw bigbear: Thanks much...... that is my problem i'm sure, noticed the primer bulb after i took the carb off and cleaned, then the gas was leaking at the primer bulb. see if i can get one in town.... :)
Penny Bevins: Thank you very much. knowing which way the clip gous in and the socket trick were very helpful. You made is so clear and thorough. I bet alot of screwdrivers were used. I,d prob. have to go buy another. Thanks, 1cent
stopglobalswarming: Thanks. Mine is crusty but still working, If it's that easy, I'll just go ahead and do it.
donyboy73: thanks for watching
donyboy73: thank you
isocanon: Thanks for the perfect video on how to replace that primer bulb. I suspected that the old dryed up bulb on my kids toro 6.5 lawn mower was the problem after I totally clean the carb, changed oil, air filter, etc. and it would not stay running. You should be in the instructional video business. You do good work!!
mohamed thabet: i bought digetal camera for make videos (repair lawnmower) soon
i hope u watch
and thank u for ur videos...i Benefit from it
smokeybowla: great vid, thanks!!
donyboy73: some are vented and this one isn't so i recommend the same part #
donyboy73: it could
donyboy73: you may want to watch some of my carb repair vids
mikewhidden: Thanks for the video - super clear and easy to understand. I was able to replace the bulb, unfortunately, it still won't run!
donyboy73: lol, thanks for watching
FinancialAdvisorTV: Just bought a used Craftsman self-propelled mower for a low price. Started and ran OK when primed but then always stalled within a few seconds to a few minutes. Put in fresh gas, fresh oil, new air filter, sprayed with carb cleaner. Still stalled. Watched your video and found the primer bulb was cracked and had an air leak. Thanks. Solution: small piece of duct tape over the crack. Now runs great. Will replace primer bulb some other time.
Matt Thorp: Returned my 19mm deep socket for a 3/4" as it is a little bigger, recommended on some google results. It still does not do the trick. What am I doing wrong?
Matt Thorp: I'm having a problem with this. After buying a set of picks, I got the old bulb out. I bought a 19mm deep socket and am trying to get it seated, but it is not working. The clip won't let go of the socket. I tap it with a hammer, but it always just pulls the bulb/clip back out when I remove the socket. I don't understand how the seating works.
David Quenzer: Very good video....exactly what I needed!!
Castlestoney: A primer bulb cost more than a tecumseh engines worth. Pitch it!
Benjamin Edge: #632047A is the primer bulb assembly my TNT100 engine uses.
Benjamin Edge: My 1984 Toro TNT100 engine (made by Tecumseh) seems to have a degrading primer bulb (which may or may not be the catalyst for hard starting), and I placed an order for a new one via Jack's Small Engines. I wonder if your advice may work in the meantime?
devilwillcryle: Great video. Thank you very much
donyboy73: if it has a tecumseh motor, yes
Bustersword07: Does this primer bulb part apply to the 20016 toro 6.5 lawnmower?
donyboy73: thanks for watching
crash613: your videos are great, Just tuned up my mower, after doing a complete carburetor re-build following another of your videos. Thanks, you just saved me $100!!!!
