Do Ga Mit: Ah Man...Too funny...How about a 6LQ6 or a 6CJ3...;)
Do Ga Mit: Thin blue line? If so most likely a defective panel.
Do Ga Mit: LOL, That's not a repair, it is a "RIG" and the problem will most likely return. Why didn't you clean the ribbon cables? Shame on it.
07silvertahoe: My sylvania has a wide vertical white stripe down the middle. I noticed a similar stripe on yours while you we're working on it. Do you think your repair might fix that as well. Thanks
David van der merwe: I also have verticle lines but I think a differant cause. To start with if the lines appear and I do a TV reset on the menu and then an auto search the display comes up fine untill next time. this could be soon or in the next few days. can anybody advise. thanks

lelobananaaaw: Thank you Chipotletv, I followed your advice with my out of warranty 4 yr old Samsung LEsomething which was giving me vertical and horizontal lines and split screen.I found out that the exact problem on my tv was that those bitches had attached with tape those flexy cables on the metal frame, once I let them loose the screen went completely crystal clear. Maybe others should try that too.
You saved an old tv from becoming recycled material dude, thanks again, greetings from Greece!

H Gates: My Samsung is having this exact same problem. Of course it started acting up right after the warranty expired. I haven't been using it for almost 3 years but I'm definantly gonna try this soon and pray that it works...I miss my 52" video game playing TV!
Lancy H: The manufacturer supplies projector lamps like Epson,Optoma,Philips,Sanyo ,Sony ect . Need supplier or to replace your projector lamp? Pls contact me : firstname.lastname@example.org
natedog5656: Just do us a favor - PLEASE change the music!! LOL By the way, my connection was a bit different. Both strips were together at the top virtually side by side unlike your model. I also had to unscrewed the cover over the 'motherboard' that the strips came from and made sure the input into the board was secure. I believe the connection to the board also had something to do with it.
natedog5656: I cannot thank you enough for posting this! I was about to throw away my Samsung LCD and ran across this just in time. I bought some rubber weather strip (normally used for sealing outdoor crevasses) and inserted it in the top to make sure the connection stayed together (b/c it was visably not) and voila - it worked!! Saved me $600 for the quoted repair or even more if I would have bought a new TV. DONT LISTEN TO YOU LOCAL TV REPAIRMAN - THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!!!
Tsukunesan123: nobody cares what you say :)

Ukrainianoiler: My Samsung lcd LN 46A530 is doing something similar on the left half after 4 yrs...it starts out with a black haze on the left half...worse towards the left upper edge. Almost looks like black ink smears....it goes away in about 10 minutes....just starts to fade or blend back to normal. Hoping this will be the fix. Really well done video thanks.
TiredOldFart: Buy an old set. See if you can buy a new 1K3 rectifier for it.
TDXAV: And indeed it did fix my problem. Thanks again.
TDXAV: Sir, this is the single most useful video I have ever encountered on the Internet. I have this problem exactly, and I'm certain that what you've shown me is going to fix it. You sir are a king amongst men. I will be watching Game Of Thrones on a 52-inch TV I found dumped on the street tonight, all thanks to you!
Nada Sukma: Thank

chance3349: Thanks for the info. I have opened my back cover couple of times to change the T-Con board. Are you referring to the aluminium tape covering the T-Con or is there another aluminium tape once I take the panel off? Can you send me the link to where I can buy the heat resistant rubber. Thanks.
