as96it: I just downloaded XBMC and would like to know if i can use subtitles and
what's the best way to import them.
And thanks a lot, this video is really helpful
Chris Bell: Great video.
Am I right thinking you set your playlists up (genre etc) on your desktop
before adding it to XBMC like you did on this tutorial, then do these
playlists show up in the VIDEOS folder?
I'm guessing the movies also appear in alphabetical order in the MOVIES
Also, will that automatic update at startup menu you mention in this
tutorial add and remove new movies or is this something I have to do
manually every time?
quidsup: XBMC's default behaviour is to store images in its own SQLite database. You
might be able to add image location to the movie NFO file, but XBMC is
still going to cache the images in its settings folder
Eric B.: Thanks! Awesome tutorial!
Toonyman: how do you bloody! get the artworks and thumbs nails to there own separate
folders? Like movies example: Batman in Folder with Movie Cover and
Artwork. when you scan xbmc it should upload or download the images to
there own respected movie folders. kinda like treaty each movies folder
like a DVD Box you got you cover, the movie, nfo,and screen shots in the
xShapeyX: How do I get the "Movies" tab on my homescreen? I managed to get it there
before, but I somehow messed it up now. I've only got TV Shows left, but I
also want Movies on my home screen (instead of going through Videos)
quidsup: I've read about it but not tried it. I was kinda put off with it being
based on Kubuntu. Cheers
BuzzinH: great thanks for the video! :-) i love xbmc! Im assuming these features are
new in "Frodo" (xbmc12)? and are not available in xbmc 11?
Dan Keaveney: it's not on mine unless quids has got the beta
pizzadude808: Nice tutorial.
quidsup: You could try XBMCbuntu, its a Linux distro with XBMC working out of the
box. For the remote its more a question of if the receiver is Linux
compatible. I've tried four remote's in Linux - three worked straight away,
and one I had to read a wiki page to get it working. Im about to start
doing some more XBMC tutorials later this month and I'll cover setting it
up in Linux.
Jack D.: Wow. This software looks beautiful and imagine that you can take all
information from IMDB! Nice to know about it, pretty useful, and thank you
for the wallpaper, don't forget to post in every video. Thank you.
St Alphonsus: Great tutorial.. Have you reviewed or used LinuxMCE? I'm interested in both
the media and automation features.
TheLolipro: Can you please tell us pros and cons of LinuxMCE over XBMC?
quidsup: Im a bit behind with finding that out as I don't have a bluray drive yet.
One program I've heard of is MakeMKV. Cheers
The Watcher: Turn on Captions, go to 4:31, read till 4:35..... dat caption lol
quidsup: You mean the cursor? I've done a couple of vids on how to change the mouse
shafnet: Ahhah sorry mate ... I meant streaming live from the internetz ;)

PC Gear: just one question i'm having a problem about the tv shows it wont show up
on list please help. thank you
Himat Bhatti: works fine on my windows PC, but would work on ATV2 with frod0 12 on it.
what am i doing wrong?
Quinn Reiswig: Thank you for the help Quidsup!
DigiTM73: If I've never had any experience with linux is XBMC still easy to setup?
Also concerned that my Logitech Harmony One won't work in Linux. However do
want to avoid Windows and have the HTPC a much quicker varient.
shafnet: Yeah I've been getting back into XBMC over the past few weeks. Loving
Navi-X but have not mastered Live TV yet. More pointers for you ;) Keep up
the series loving it so far !
Cash Shew: i donno how to setup samba server :(
quidsup: Cheers. I never really got on with XBMC 11, I've been using 12 for the past
couple of months and it seems so much easier, especially getting surround
sound working. The big difference Im aware of is Audio engine has been
MrMugenwii: where do all the thumbnails save into? it seems as if every time i add my
usb with movies it has to look for the movie posters all over again... can
i just copy the thumbnails into the directory of my movies? how do i do
quidsup: I purchased each and everyone of them. Cough Take a look at this video on
my channel: youtu(dot)be/Wqa7THLxtBo
JonathanIsrael708: My Ubuntu installs always has problems browsing workgroups/ samba shares.
Is there a fix for that?
dc8povi: How long will you make the tutorial (parts)? Can you include your favorite
shafnet: Hi Quids.... do you happen to have a howto on the ROM collection browser
for MAME/SNES et al ?
Dan Keaveney: Whats your. Xbmc theme called quids
quidsup: Cheers mate. I had a quick play around trying to get my mates computer
working with Live TV addon for XBMC with a DVB-S and Dual DVB-T card. It
was my first time trying to setup a DVB-S card, and he uses Win7 just to
make things more difficult for me. After an hour of stumbling around
blindly I got the DVB-T card working. I can't remember the addon now, but
the TV card program was one of the worst apps I've used. Far too many
settings and no explanation of anything
Rishi Bepat: well that is excellent, but i dont have TV SHOW mentioned anywhere, how to
Affan Khan: I like air crash investigation as well!
Tha Ctha: Dude you are awesome :)! You have everything with my PI! Your tutorial for
deluge was still the best tutorial out there! Keep on doing this :D!
quidsup: Ah ok. Well I got iPlayer, ITV, and Ch4 players working fine with addons
Cavey1977: quidsup... What NAS are you using? It looked liked a linux based platform,
especially with the SMB connection. I want to buy one, because I'm bored of
having to boot my PC up each time to stream. I heard Synology make good
Harouni Tarek: Thank You Man !! You're really awesome ^^
PhantomTurtle: I believe the older versions had a different theme. The newer and STABLE
version has this theme.
JonathanIsrael708: Was that a genre titled 'XXX'?? Lol
matt lidbetter: Thank you very much for the tutorials. As i am just setting up, i am trying
to put my bluray collection together. would you know the best program to
copy them on to XBMC. Many Thanks
Affan Khan: FIRST!
PhantomTurtle: I think that's the default theme.
Ograws: great video quids thanks for sharing and keep up the good work
quidsup: Cheers mate
quidsup: Thats right its the default theme in XBMC 12
quidsup: No I haven't found that one, I'll have to play around some more. Cheers
quidsup: Its a custom build PC with Ubuntu Server: youtu(dot)be/-5Z_-3EBIHE It cost
me a bit less than a lot of the NAS Enclosures, and I've got the
flexibility of up to 8x 3TB drives with some extras like SabNZB downloader
and Sickbeard running on it.
