jamamanjamh13: Lmao, cmon, really?? Do you really think that is going to filter the air?
The air has to make CONTACT with the carbon, not just pass by it, lol.
The carbon doesn't have magic powers and abilities to reach out and grab
the passing air.. Holy crap this is aweful! I'd pull this vid down if i
were you, lmfao!! hahahaha
joe johnson: lol when you sneezed i almost said bless you...
devaughn currie: Come on man you gotta filter all the air not just the air along the edge of
the pipe. Air coming right up the middle is not be filtered.. Your better
off cutting a stack of circles letting air fully pass through multiple
layers of fliter
Fiddy King: My pencil scrubs odors better than this!
Grow Pot Cheaply: Check out how pro filters work. They all have the same size holes as your
ducting. However, this method I use in the video does restrict some air
flow. Insteaad, use hardware cloth, wrap it to be just a tad smaller than
ducting so it will fit in ducting. Then wrap carbon filter around that. I
will post a video soon.
gabe shirk: bless u
Grow Pot Cheaply: When you grow indoors, you absolutely need air exchange. You need to bring
in fresh air or your buds will suffer greatly. You will get low yields, and
if you are going to use like t5s or cfls, that already makes your yields
lower. Pull fresh air in somehow. As far as order, try ona gel, I think it
is called, and also try a box fan, and put a flat charcoal filter on the
back side. You can find the filters at Walmart for $10
devaughn currie: Sorry my man I did not,was watching on tablet my mistake
junebug271: Dude, that's not going to stop any odors.
Grow Pot Cheaply: It will at least help. However, instead you should build the filter I have
linked to with this video. It works better. Only $10 more, or nothing more
if you happen to have hardware cloth already.
THRASZHER: I have a question if you don't mind, I've grown only outdoors but am forced
to move indoors unfortunately. - I am not planning to set up any type of
pro grow room, I will be buying low heat emitting lights, fan, and will be
growiing like that. Is a carbon filter only usable when you pump air in and
out of the house? And if so what is an alternative I can use when in
flower? Sorry if this sounds silly, I've grown outdoors for over 20 years
and my spot just got completely torn down for houses.
Grow Pot Cheaply: A pro filter works like this. There is a mesh tube the same side as your
duct. There is a larger tube outside that. The space between the tubes is
filled with carbon pellets. With my hardware cloth method, it will be more
effective if you cap off the end, this way forcing the air to be pulled in
through the carbon and hardware cloth.
Dean W.: Let me 1st off start by saying you cannot build this for 50$. If you dont
have any materials this is going to cost you upwards of 150$. I just spent
2 hours in lowes and still didnt get all I needed.. They didnt have any
carbon sheets. Now 2ndly This might cost you 50$ IF that is a big IF. you
can sell a few more since you have to buy everything new then your good.
otherwise plan on spending alot of cash. Almost better off buying a real
one from a grow store. Live and learn. BAD IDEA.
Grow Pot Cheaply: For a semi open room, try ona gel, instead. Pour it into a container, and
drill holes. Set a small pc fan on top. Power the pc fan with a low amp 12v
DC adapter. You can sometimes find them at goodwill.
wyatt smith: what about the big ass whole in the middle where the air flow is going to
pass through without touching the filter..........be smarted to block that
whole in the middle of the filter
D Cromwell: The filters work best when the area they are scrubing is controled..ie a
closed room, tent or make shift room.
Grow Pot Cheaply: It does. I brew wine in there, which has a strong smell sometimes, and you
cannot smell it coming out of the exhaust fan. If i open the tent, you can
smell it. I recently put the carbon on the outside of hardware cloth/mesh,
so that the carbon doesn't restrict airflow. Video coming soon.
Alonso Chacon: Hi there, I got a question, do you know if these filter have to be in a
totally closed room for them to work, cause I got a partially closed room
in which I need this sistem but not quite sure if it works
Grow Pot Cheaply: Did you see the big white pop up taking you to a better version of the
Charlie Day: Im using my closet and I was wandering if I could just use a regular fan or
do I need a certain one? and can I just water it with a spray bottle cause
I cant get a auto watering system, and do you need to have a carbon filter?
roccorostagnio: That design will not work. The air needs to be sucked through the carbon
filter not in a hole right past it
Alonso Chacon: Thanks man, I'll definitely will try it, I still got a couple of months
before the odor starts to come up, cheers
Grow Pot Cheaply: I forgot to mention, cap of the end of your hardware cloth filter, to force
the air to enter through the carbon filter.
mikey grizwol: Those sneezes where freaking annoying
