David Guyton: Make this yourself! All of my templates are now available at
David Guyton: ATTENTION! If you have questions for me to answer, please comment on the
actual YouTube page of the video. For some reason when you comment on my
videos that are shared on Google+, I am unable to answer.
Drew Shearing: David I am thinking about making this but how much would the materials cost
JosephKing75 CBP: Man.You probably can build a hero costume and become a superhero
David Guyton: Check out the all new website for my armor templates www.armortemplates.com
Thomas Ryan: How long approximately did it take you to make (excluding gluing time)?
Stepping Stone: Hello Sir David Guyton! You have the coolest videos i've seen on youtube!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! :)
Cameron Ivey: Do you think you'd be willing to do a series of blacksmith light training
videos? I'm trying to become a blacksmith/swordsmith. I'm about to
apprentice under a swordsmith, but the armor gauntlets and things like that
are more of my thing.
Jesse W: Very cool, and thank you. I'm a backyard blacksmith and have just recently
started on armor... mostly because sheet metal is so expensive. I cranked
out a couple of these gauntlets out of 18ga and 16ga steel (I downsized the
large "cap" on the upper forearm, and had to oversize the finger pieces a
bit to make up for the thickness of the bend for the gauge I used). I
heated it and went over it with a brass brush to give it a dark color with
a brass sheen, and highlighted the edges with tarnished copper. Rivets are
dark brass (used gun bluing chems). I wanted an ancient look. They look
amazing. Currently working on greaves and a cuirass to go with (not
Iron-Man, but still sort of blocky/straight angles - I like to look).
Thank you again for sharing the vid, and for the good template.
santiago fernandez pacheco: what kind of metal did you use?
joshua adrian seyer: bro i need yur help can i use another kind of material???
cody bright: you speak like you're tired, and really its making me tired, just want to
sleep. However you are making some cool crap, and near middle to the end
your voice does get a little more enthusiastic, but still makes watching a
Billy Dann: What metal do you use, and what thickness?
Callum Blees: David, I'm from the uk so I don't have dollars. How do I pay for the
designs? I have been trying to make a gorntlet for ages and I can't get it
Promise love: will the templates ship to kathmandu
SeaniiTheory: How much?
azraei azman: perfect for zombie apocalypes
Senn K: Really awesome to see someone so skilled in something take the time to
demonstrate, explain and show how to make something. You, sir, are awesome.
Survivor Cat: I like your books.
TheFishCostume: I got the template. I'll return once it's complete.
Shunkawakan Okawingha: I forgot how to man.....
Ben Mesedup Murphy: So where on the gauntlet do all of the hand pieces go, I bought the pattern
and directions but it doesn't seem to indicate where they go. In the video,
the hand shield is blocking my view of where and how some of the hand
pieces are going to fit and I can't quite see the hand pieces on the bottom
(palm) of the glove. This has also made re-sizing them a bit of an issue as
I don't know what they're supposed to look like on the glove. Could you
perhaps tell me where on the hand they are supposed to go? Thanks :)
Promise love: how long did it take u to make it
David Guyton: PLEASE SHARE this video on your Google+ and other social media websites!
SeaniiTheory: How much would it cost of you to actually make it for me?
Stephen Adam: Seriously David - A bit of a life in your voice when you make these videos.
Are you that dull in real life?
the Hacksmith: Wow this is brilliant! Love your stuff! Might have to try making something
for my exoskeleton...
bart wieling: Now............ Add an pyro-glove to it and it just became over 9000
Felix Gregorcyk: Okay I'm sharing this so that I can get back to it later.
Drew Paterson: Is there an easier way to build it if you have limited funds and tools
Michael S.: So... this isn't bulletproof, I take it...
Promise love: do u actually sell ur gauntlets
Micah Putman: Would this work with cardboard too?
GunFuMaster: Now, make the rest of it and put a custom exoskeleton inside it.
David Guyton: YouTube has apparently made some STUPID changes, making it very difficult
for me to find and answer your comments. I am trying to figure things out
so please be patient.
Ben Tran: what mechansim do you use to keep the arm on withour falling out or
Dobbo Junior: Hi, I was just wondering a couple of things
1. What metal did u use
2. How did you lock the arm brace together
3. Could you make a template explaining all the bens, different joints
possible and also a general tips booklet, you don't have to but I'm making
this for my best mate and I want to get it as good as possible
Rob Calton: dude! you're awesome!
ging joffe: If I was wanting to make this gauntlet not made from metal which other
material should be recommended. Thanks!
Chiyo Inkera: This works for any type of armor right? Is it hard to get the supplies?
Lawrence Isbister: ever temper your armour
SAVAGERADIO23: Hey David, I'm going to be a senior in high school next year and I was
planning to hold a raffle to give away a gauntlet that learned how to build
from your channel. It's five bucks a raffle ticket and I would like your
suggestion on which gauntlet I should give away. Senior dues are a bit
pricey for some of the seniors including myself, so your opinion along with
everyone else in comments would be really helpful. Which gauntlet would
appeal mostly to potential customers (high school students)?
Quintin Bezuidenhout: omg the armour looks cool but this guys voice is more annoying that william
General Hawk: Great work ! But how thick is 22 gauge in mm ? I can't find an exact
Cloudy Daze: you make it look so easy....
jedihunter58: I am having trouble with the epoxy glue I was to stick the metal to
leather. It seems I use the same glove you do but it is just not strong
enough. How do you make yours so tough?
Jayjay Juliana: how about the iron man mark V gauntlet .... its too hard their are many
details in that gauntlet
Iron Man: How long did it take you to make that
Blog Dir: Building the website was not the hard part, but monetizing it was a whole new story. Thanks for the guidance about adsense. I am finally getting some money for my business directory. This is good for both business owners and customers. Keep building quality site and everyone wins.
