Gopal Potdar: +David Guyton hello sir this is great and useful video i have watch. i have
some questions. which metal use you have.
David Guyton: ATTENTION! If you have questions for me to answer, please comment on the
actual YouTube page of the video. For some reason when you comment on my
videos that are shared on Google+, I am unable to answer.
JosephKing75 CBP: Man.You probably can build a hero costume and become a superhero
DumpsterJedi: How does it lock closed?
David Guyton: Check out the all new website for my armor templates www.armortemplates.com
the Hacksmith: Wow this is brilliant! Love your stuff! Might have to try making something
for my exoskeleton...
Rob Calton: dude! you're awesome!
Senn K: Really awesome to see someone so skilled in something take the time to
demonstrate, explain and show how to make something. You, sir, are awesome.
Nasus Susan: David is there an easy way to PAINT stainless steel? I was thinking of
making a gauntlet with the metal, but wanted to turn it into a different
color. I may be ignorant but the "stainless" part does not seem friendly to
GormGear: I would love to see you create the chest/ torso of the suit
Lewa Nuva: David I am thinking about making this but how much would the materials cost
alex scott: You should punch all your enemies with this
Jesse W: Very cool, and thank you. I'm a backyard blacksmith and have just recently
started on armor... mostly because sheet metal is so expensive. I cranked
out a couple of these gauntlets out of 18ga and 16ga steel (I downsized the
large "cap" on the upper forearm, and had to oversize the finger pieces a
bit to make up for the thickness of the bend for the gauge I used). I
heated it and went over it with a brass brush to give it a dark color with
a brass sheen, and highlighted the edges with tarnished copper. Rivets are
dark brass (used gun bluing chems). I wanted an ancient look. They look
amazing. Currently working on greaves and a cuirass to go with (not
Iron-Man, but still sort of blocky/straight angles - I like to look).
Thank you again for sharing the vid, and for the good template.
David Guyton: PLEASE SHARE this video on your Google+ and other social media websites!
Flipfinger Fingerboards: perfect for zombie apocalypes
The DIY Guy: Hi you dont by any chance have a template to make a smaller gauntlet
because i would like to make one but i have very small hands! Also could
you tell me the link to where you got you leather glove and the steel.
zeonwd1: Hi i was just wondering what kind of plastic can I use to make a simple
project like this? And will I find it in home depo
Survivor Cat: I like your books.
David Hernandez: Hey wat is the Outer Diameter of the copper tubbing?
bart wieling: Now............ Add an pyro-glove to it and it just became over 9000
Brandon Cockrell: you are insanely talented. thanks for the inspiration
Alexia francis: Can you make a full arm
Daring Darius: What metal thickness do you recommend for this type of gauntlet? I am like
most people and do not make all the money in the world so I have been
looking at some Stainless steel that is .019 inches thick, and others
slightly thicker like 3/16 in thick. I want your opinion on which would be
good quality, but remain relatively cheap as my budget is not some big fat
wallet (even though I would like it to be :D)
Cameron Ivey: Do you think you'd be willing to do a series of blacksmith light training
videos? I'm trying to become a blacksmith/swordsmith. I'm about to
apprentice under a swordsmith, but the armor gauntlets and things like that
are more of my thing.
GunFuMaster: Now, make the rest of it and put a custom exoskeleton inside it.
Thomas Ryan: How long approximately did it take you to make (excluding gluing time)?
Stepping Stone: Hello Sir David Guyton! You have the coolest videos i've seen on youtube!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! :)
Shunkawakan Okawingha: I forgot how to man.....
miguel aguilas: necesito las Plantillas su-velas porfabor
ducatidragon916: you know i see alot of negative comments like you could do it in plastic
and it is essentially a van guard with metal around it etc... nobody is
looking at the fact that is stainless steel metal and if you were to
reinforce it with kevlar and modify with other materials and enhance the
overlapping it etc.. it could be made into a very useable protective glove
etc...Excellent tutorial and keep up the good work!!!!!
cody bright: you speak like you're tired, and really its making me tired, just want to
sleep. However you are making some cool crap, and near middle to the end
your voice does get a little more enthusiastic, but still makes watching a
David Guyton: BUILD YOUR OWN GAUNTLET! All of my templates are available at the following
Jayjay Juliana: how about the iron man mark V gauntlet .... its too hard their are many
details in that gauntlet
Callum Blees: David, I'm from the uk so I don't have dollars. How do I pay for the
designs? I have been trying to make a gorntlet for ages and I can't get it
J-Tibz829: I would use aluminum instead to do this just cuz its easier to manipulate
and less costly
Matt Murray: hey David how do you keep the bottom of the gauntlet, under your forearm
from swinging down?
joshua adrian seyer: bro i need yur help can i use another kind of material???
Enrique Cortez: Hey can u buy the armor like can we buy it from u or no cause that is sick
kaleb riggs: I think you should make a suit,it would be hard but worth it
Ben Mesedup Murphy: So where on the gauntlet do all of the hand pieces go, I bought the pattern
and directions but it doesn't seem to indicate where they go. In the video,
the hand shield is blocking my view of where and how some of the hand
pieces are going to fit and I can't quite see the hand pieces on the bottom
(palm) of the glove. This has also made re-sizing them a bit of an issue as
I don't know what they're supposed to look like on the glove. Could you
perhaps tell me where on the hand they are supposed to go? Thanks :)
Gopal Potdar: hello David which type metal use you?
Billy Dann: What metal do you use, and what thickness?
Shadow: How long did it take you to make that
Gaming Ninja: i dare u to try and make either the ebony, elven, dwarven or daedric
gauntlets and if possible a helmet from one of the respective groups
(preferably dwarven or daedric).
if you doubt thats possible you could try pepakura but use metal instead of
paper. it should work out fine, but will take a while to bend.
Cloudy Daze: you make it look so easy....
Jacob Challinor: How would you make one out of plastic? Also, is it possible to make one out
of hard paper?
Matt Murray: Hey david i was wondering how you keep the lower part of the vambrace from
falling down away from the upper part. Not the hinges the other side ..
Thanks awesome vid!
