But now i need to know how to set up email alerts. it looks like iv done
everything right but it doesn't work. Do you know how???
Is there more port forwarding to do to get the email to work? cause iv
tried that unsuccessfully.

bkpickell: What you did for selecting the IP address is not the right way to do it. If
you don't get replies it could mean that the IP address is assigned to
another device, but the device is not turned on.
The only proper way to do it is to select an IP address that is outside of
the scope of DHCP. You have to check that in your router.

rose0529: I followed every step successfully. I inputted my external IP address with
my port number, the viewer displayed showing all my cameras with date and
times but each camera didn't show video, each camera displays a black
screen. Did miss a step or is there a fix for my issue? Thanks for any
