CakeSuppliesPlus: Michael's craft stores often carry the Wilton brand. We previously had
silver and silver spay on our site, but we cannot ship it with other items

epeemstr: I plan on making my friend a cake for her birthday. I have an idea of what
to do, however, execution will be the most difficult thing and I could use
some advice. I'm making a patron bottle cake. I know I need 3-4 layers
before it curves. Only thing is, I'm afraid when I curve it, it wont look
the same on all sides. Also, there's the issue of covering fondant over a
curved surface and then creating the label. Any suggestions/tips?
joancees: I love your cake and your diamond ring. XD
Maureen Giles: cakesuppliesplus
jcs790: hermoso! absolutely beautiful! :-)
CakeSuppliesPlus: It is a crusting buttercream. It forms a slight crust after about 15-20
minutes. This crust allows it to be touched without it sticking. All
buttercreams stay soft (crusting type only firms up on top, underneath
stays soft). Royal icing dries very hard.
Rockerella16: Okay, got it thank you very much :) I will be doing this style as apart of
my cake for my Sweet 16. Thanks very much
Tipintaktipu: answered my Q about quilting. Thnx
Rockerella16: where can I get that quilting tool?
Maria Natalina Garrido: please where can I buy this quilt pattern to work the side cake?
CakeSuppliesPlus: You can use the design wheel tool shown in the video to continue the lines
on top of the cake, but it's difficult because the diamonds would get
smaller towards the center. Most cakes do not have quilting on the top
because either another tier or a decoration like flowers is placed there.
CakeSuppliesPlus: At the website mentioned at the beginning and end of the video and the link
in the description below the video.
CakeSuppliesPlus: @TheFakeyCakeMaker You can use the diamond cutter to make diamonds farther
over the top (line up with portion at edge and carry farther into top of
cake), but the corners will overlap the next diamond more and more towards
the center as the area gets smaller. Plus the diamonds would meet in the
center of the circle. That's why it's usually not done on the entire
top--it really does not look good.
Rozio Carrera: Hola Blanca..si el primero es buttercream lo dejas que enduresca de 30-60
minutos y despues usas la planilla..
Chevelle Anneliese: Why the buttercream seems hard? isn't it squishy? And can you tell me the
differences between royal icing and icing? Sorry if i bother you, i'm a
skhatun71: People would have been able to see the marks the tools made and would have
understood better... :)
