Caddy9268: Hey Joe, Was looking to replace the follower in my 870 tactical and I've
read mixed reviews on SS followers and Aluminum followers....SS they say is
to hard and Aluminum burring. Have you had any issues?
Nathen M: mine either but i ordered the follower anyway. it's a nice piece.
x81kilo: So did you end up losing a cartridge in your payload due to the upgrade?
This is on the way home just ordered it yesterday....cause i have the same
issue you described. Thanks for the vid!
SinCitySeller: Is that a Wilson Combat Remington 870?
average_joe466: after alittle dremel work and cut a inch from the spring (not compressed) i
gained factory spec back i only used 2 3/4 shells tho
Mario Rodriguez: Great video - I just ordered the 870 Tactical. I have ordered the Mesa
Urbino pistol grip stock, Mesa tactical sling hook mount which will go
between the new stock and receiver...Allowing my to connect a single point
sling....Check out the Mesa Tactical website....All their after market
parts, side saddles, stocks, forends with picatinny rails, etc. Their
prices a a bit high but this is one of those cases where spending the extra
money with get you "High Quality" products!...
nightsniper101: Alright just wondering. careful with the 887, i was going to buy one but
heard they had some problems. search 887 click stick on here, there was a
few videos showing what happend. I heard a few people say the barrel rusted
and the polymor seperated from the barrel. My cousin has one and hasnt had
that happen yet, hes only had it a year. I have tried to see if his will
Phrosz: damn, man... I hope she's alright now. You sound like a good father - or at
least one that has their priorities straight.
TimusTitans: BITCH, PLEASE (>_<)
CB1942EO: thanks. i got a 870 tactical in january only shot about 30 rounds prior to
deployment. i could only get 4 rounds out of 6 into the magazine. now i
average_joe466: no i never did the only thing i did was the follower and cut out a inch out
of the magazine spring. i wanted to because there were times i wish i did.
i sold my 870 tho because i was offered the same as what i paid for it so i
let it go. i'm planning on buying a remington 887 nitro mag tactical soon.
LibertysTeeth83: I had the same problem. it took me a while to figure out I was in touch
with Remington a couple times they sent me a replacement mag tube and
spring but it didn't help. I got a new follower from Nordic components and
never had another issue.
average_joe466: i did loose 1 round but id reather loose one round and have a working
shotgun then have a ton of shells and a faulty shotgun in a time of need.
average_joe466: due to the market prices rising over the last couple of months. because of
the panic buying the price could be up or have changed. i ordered it from
average_joe466: the Mesa buffer recoil stock. to me is the best recoil reducing stock. it
has alot less flex and wabble. i didn't like blackhawks or any other of the
spring recoil stocks.
average_joe466: @Chalino Sanchez if i remember correctly it was like $25ish. well worth it.
TimusTitans: Americans with shotguns, nothing new -_-
average_joe466: I did at first but with alittle working I got it back. I only used 23/4
average_joe466: Piers Morgan, Please
Chalino Sanchez: how much was this new follower?
kosmosleha: why not buy used 870p for the same price as a new 870 tactical and never
have any problems?
average_joe466: ya and its a soft plastic so it can stick very easy. what i did to improve
even more after this video was cut a inch out of the spring and grind a
smooth round edge on the back side of the follower. so it don't catch on
the magazine extention tube.
average_joe466: no i never had the problem. i've never heard of anyone that i know that has
a 870 with that problem. the only problems mine had was a crappy magazine
follower and the extractor not getting certain shell out.
average_joe466: no its just a Remington 870 express tactical.
time4tradin: Sorry it was already answered in earlier comments
average_joe466: i have shot mainly slugs with mine. the reason i said that was because
before i bought it everybody was saying dont shoot slugs. i did any way and
ive shot every slug i could find localy high powered slugs and the only
problem i had was a bruised should after 35 high powered slugs.
efoxneo: I have the same problem with an older 870 express, how is your shotgun
FutureMarinecuv902: I have a 870 youth express 20GA brand new I've only shot 50 shells through
it clay pigeons never put shells in the magazine do you think this will a
CB1942EO: did you use a dremel to round the edge?
time4tradin: thank you
time4tradin: How much does the follower cost?
average_joe466: i had there side saddle. i did like it. i was going to get there stock to
but the price was abit high for me at the time.
average_joe466: @americanmilitiaman88 I've never had a problem with my front sight. so i
can't help you with that.
average_joe466: ya that way you will have finer control
average_joe466: ya she just had a nasty flu. i'm a disabled veteran so my life revolves
around my alittle girl. plus i've been having alot of bad luck latey so i
will always sell a gun to make sure she is feed, healthy, and has cloths on
Phrosz: Why'd you get rid of it?
sireartem: I have an 870 express 7round. Never had a feeding problem. ever.
average_joe466: British always whining about guns, nothing new -_-
average_joe466: well with your shotgun once you remove the magazine cap and spring. there
should be a small nub that stops the follower. if your wanting to add a
extension. then that little nub will have to be reomved and smoothed out.
ct0027: hows your 870? I want to get one but I heard they rust easily because of
the powder coat. Have you had any experiences with that?
lerch400block: Thinkin of doing this to all my tube mags.
Mario Rodriguez: They are a bit pricey! I've seen several after market stocks for the 870
but IMO the Urbino looks as though it were made specifically for the
870!...It really makes the 870 "POP", know what I mean!
average_joe466: my daughter got sick and i had to sale it to get her some medicine
Phrosz: I think xenophobia is categorically un-American, but that piece of crap
media whore needs to be deported.
Jeff Meece: fatrcguy, in the beginning of your video you said that you might not be
able to fit 6 rounds in the mag, did you have this problem or can you still
fit 6 3" rounds? thanks
Mario Rodriguez: After watching your video I plan on buying a new follower to replace the
cheap plastic one!...Youd think they would have put something a bit higher
end as a follower, instead of plastic?
AuctionBump: Great video, thanks. I have a 870 Express Mag 20G and it appears the orange
magazine follower is stuck so it only loads 3 shells and I can't figure out
how to remove it. Basically it looks like the magazine came disabled from
the factory that way. Maybe the magazine follower is glued in? Anyone know
anything about this? Thanks!
CB1942EO: i have the same problem with the follower, and after shooting a few rounds
the xs front sight comes off is there a way to keep it secured
nightsniper101: Have you upgraded your extractor? I have the same gun, but mine has the
cheap MIM. im upgradin to the steel one.
