WARNING: The following procedure is to be implemented if and only if the PC does not want to know from powering up with the symptoms listed above. In no other case it is advisable to restore or update the BIOS!
If the BIOS has been damaged for a wrong update, for a power outage or other reasons the laptop will no longer start but there is a solution; must go to the site and download the HP BIOS specific for the handset.
Once you download this file, extract it with a decompressor (WinRar or 7Zip) or run it and extract its contents to a folder type :
C: \ swsetup \ sp NNNNN
where NNNNN is a number.
In this folder you will find a number of files including the file representing the actual bios extension .FD. It is to be careful, often the downloaded file is compatible for more than one model and may contain more than one file bios. For example we could find two bios of name:
31F2F38.FD 3722F38.FD The first part of the name (first 4 characters) indicates the platform for which the BIOS is valid, while
the second part of the name (in particular ulmi characters before the dot) indicates the version of the BIOS.
For example the file 31F2 F 38 .FD indicates that this BIOS is valid for the platform 31F2 and is the version38 .
In the same folder almost certainly we also find the file Platform.ini, that there may be useful for an indication on the BIOS version to use.
Opening it, in it we will find something like this :
flag = 2
PlatformName = 31F2
PlatformName2 = 3722
This indicates to us that the two bios in the folder are valid for platforms named 31F2 and 3722 .
Now we take the BIOS valid for our platform, we create three copies, and rename and eliminating the version with the following extensions:
for example starting from the file 31F2F38.FD we have:
Now we take a usb empty formatted in FAT16 or FAT32 and copy on it the 3 files created.
If we do not know precisely which of the bios for both our platform then we will use all files present, such as in this case we will use both the file that the file 31F2F38.FD 3722F38.FD then we will have:
and will copy the six files on USB stick.
Well, now we are ready to reinstall the BIOS and turn on the laptop, you must follow these few steps:
Insert the USB stick into the laptop; Press and hold the keys WIN and B; Turn on the handset (hold down B and WIN course); The handset will start and begin to read the pen emitting a series of beeps. This may take several minutes, do not worry; After a few minutes laptop turns off completely. Now if everything was done correctly, the BIOS has been installed properly and the laptop will restart again!

DYAC: My friend's business did extremely well with adwords. He basically pay google to put his promotion ads on varies websites and the conversion rate is really high. I guess it helps since he sells gag/prank gifts and his ads get display on funny autocorrect websites. He wouldn't tell me the exact amount, but I'm estimating it is near the mid 6-figure salary. No risk no rewards I guess.
