Paul Baughman: The description says V6 and in the video you show a 4cyl. Removing an alternator on a v6 model is quite involved and that's what I need. Please update your description.
R Herman: Wow what a joke, now try to replace one on a V6.
Autotechviewpoint: hmmm. interesting what people notice, are you talking about YT tags? maybe an error on my part. Now charging VS maintaning, people will jumpstart a dead battery, then drive away, let the car run for a while then shut it off... and they do not have problems after that. Something got the battery back up to 12 volts. from dead... (generally speaking)
mike honcho: Why does that vehicle have v6 tags? and the alternator doesn't charge it maintains! Scary to think people will pay any clown to repair there vehicle.
Autotechviewpoint: All I can recommend now is to look at the replacement alternator and look to see if there is another bolt. Otherwise I think it is just wedged in there.
aknorthroader1: I am having issues. I also have a 2002 ford escape 4 cylinder. I got the belt off and all the electrical connectors off and the one bolt removed and the other loosened. The alternator does not want to come out and it feels like there is another bolt holding it in. The Chiltons guide says there are 3 bolts but your video and the diagram for the new alternator only shows 2 bolts and thats all that I can see. Do you have any suggestions?
chechnya: I had my alternator replaced at 120k miles. They had to remove the CV joint to get to the alternator. Only $70+parts.
jordan rooney: i liked the video u pointed out a problem i am having, the bolt not comming all the way out, but my top bolt does not have a enough room to come out either. the bottom one has the slot like u showed to come out, but my top bolt also dont have enough room :@
Autotechviewpoint: @bimbobear708 Sorry you didn't think there is enough information to do the job. Only two bolts to get to for the alternator, once the belt is off. Pull up the alternator a bit to remove the plug and the battery "+" connection and it comes out.
Autotechviewpoint: @TheBart212 Well on this Escape it came up through the top, I believe there is plenty of room to come up through the top.
TheBart212: Hey, How do you get the alternator out. I have to replace mine and it doesn't seem to have enough space to get it out. Will it remove from the cavity that's in easily?
MARIBEL PINON: ur video suck it dont show crap or explaned jow to take it out all u show is how to take the plug out wow thats it u suck
