TheMinimickey: Your hair is just beautiful!!!! (:
Samy Rae: Thanks! My hair is different now lol But all I did was curled it with a 1" inch curling iron, nothing special, no special technique, just made the curls go away from my face. Hope this helped!
Monicarocks234: I love the way you curled your hair. And its just my hair length too!Can you do a tutorial on how you curled your hair?Thank you!And btw it came out a beautiful ombre!
Samy Rae: Thank you! :) And yes, I left it in for 20 min. then washed it out, let my hair dry completely, then continued with the process. Always make sure your hair is dry when putting on bleach :)
Romy West: hello! i like your hair!! :))
but i have a question..
when u putted the bleach in your hair (the first time) and you waited 20 min.. then did you washed it all out and dry and then bleached your hair again ore in another way?
Samy Rae: Thanks so much!! :)
jen min: I've been looking at video's on ombre for short hair and yours is the best! I luv the color and how there are still dark pieces peeking thru. Great job!
Samy Rae: Cool! Hope it turns out well!! :)
BevMcCrary: I have a grown out pixie cut down to about my shoulders and had been thinking about ombre and the sectioning idea is good! im gonna do that. :)
Samy Rae: I'm really not sure. Bleaching out dark is the only way for other lighter colors to show up. Your hair needs to be lighter, or close to the same color in order for the new color to show. Sometimes you need a protein filler for the color to grab onto the hair. I would go to a Sally's Beauty Supply if you want to do it yourself, and ask them what products to get, or go to a salon. Sorry I couldn't be of much help! :/
bgorecho: Hi. I just wanna ask. Ive been dying my hair many times but the colors just didnt show up. I tried to bleach it but it didnt turned yellow. What to do to make the color show off? Pls help
Samy Rae: Thank you! I actually just went back to all red!! :):) I have pics on my Twitter & Instagram! :]
Capricia Rae Graves: Ahhh, I love the color, You would look gorgeous with a full head of that colorrrr!
Samantha Van: I love it !!!
Samy Rae: I'm not a professional, and don't know your hair's condition so I can't really help much :/ If you truly want to do this, then I would say dye it black, and WAIT for a few months and maybe do the bleaching for the ombre in the summer. That way you have time to re-condition your hair, and give it a trim before processing it further. But I wouldn't dye it and bleach it all at once, it's too damaging.
vanessa aguilera: Hi samy! I need help! I'm going to do ombre black and hot pink. I'm decided :). But my hair is currently "two toned" ugly reddish light brown and the back of my hair was bleached to a golden blonde. Should I dye all black and then re bleach or try to dye only half way black on my blonde? I have shoulder length and as curly/wavy as yours on your vid. I know I want it to look just like yours but I don't know what to do about my already processed hair, I don't want more damage. Please answer!Thnks!
Samy Rae: awesome!! and you're welcome! :) let me know how it turns out!! :) xx
blushzilla: Thanks for the advice! I'm just gonna go for it! :D
Samy Rae: I had been dying my hair black for a looooong time before I did the ombre, for about a year or more. To touch up my roots, I just used my normal black dye with a tint brush from Sally's to pain on the color, just to my roots. I left my hair down though instead of pinning it up like normal during the processing time so that I wouldn't get dye on the ombre. Then just rinsed and shampooed like normal! :) Hope this helps!! :)
blushzilla: Hi Samy! This was sort of helpful to me as you to dye your hair dark and it looks good! I just wondered as I also dye my hair dark brown.
How long did you dye your hair black before putting bleach over the top to get the ombre effect? and how do you manage touching up your roots?
I'm quite apprehensive about going ombre D;
Hope you can help!
Chlobeast Christensen: I like that you left the tone red :) It looks a lot more natural then when girls try to make it a vanilla blonde. Looks great! :)
Samy Rae: Let me know how it turns out!! xx :)
Jackie White: LOVE the color girl! I may do this later today....I have naturally blue black hair....praying to the hair gods that it comes out ok!! ;)
Samy Rae: thanks!
Immie ali: I love it on you, the short/medium hair looks waayyy better i think :) beautiful.
Samy Rae: aweee thank you!! :):) xx
Samy Rae: Yes! It's dyed black :) xx
Shen Fuentes: Hi! I have a question. Did you dyed your hair black before doing the ombre hair? Please please answer. I love your haaaaaaaaair. xx
Samy Rae: awe thank you! :)
ItsTheGoobs: your so pretty!
Samy Rae: I was self tanned in this video! haha :p BUT thank you!!! I do like the black, because I feel like it matched more with what I wear, etc. Plan on keeping it for a good couple of years!! :)
Kristina Marquez: wow, I like this even better than the red on u! It makes yr skin look darker.I do black for Summer & Red for Winter.
Samy Rae: I just used the Infusium 23 deep conditioner, along with the Suave Keratin Infusion shampoo and conditioner. A big thing that helped though was my one and only argon oil. :)
TheKaytiLene: What did you use to deep condition your hair in between bleaching?
Samy Rae: :) !!
Samy Rae: Yay! So glad it worked and that I could help!! :D Tweet me a pic if you can! :)
kissthebride13: It workeddddd!!! It liiks awesome!!!!!! Thanks so much it was so helpful!!!
kissthebride13: Omg it came out perfect!!!!! Awesome video. Great advice!!!!
Samy Rae: Yep! that's all I did, I went almost all the way up the ponytails, leaving about an inch or inch and a half at the top of the ponytails, so covered them a little more than half way. :) But it all depends on how far up you want your ombre to go, you could do the whole ponytail to have more ombre, or less if you want just the ends lighter!
kissthebride13: I put a few highlights in friday amd they came out the reddish color. So ponytails all over and just add bleach to bottom half?? Cause urs looks so good!!!
Samy Rae: I didn't use foil at all. I just put the bleach in the ponytails, but I had to bleach twice to get this color...I didn't leave it on long enough the first time, and I sectioned differently both times to make sure I got the outcome I wanted :)
kissthebride13: I have short hair too. So did you just out bleach in or did u do the ponytails and wrap them in foi??
Samy Rae: thanks! And the ponytail thing didn't work the best for me the first time around, as I mentioned, I didn't saturate enough hair. I just didn't want to not use the ponytails, since my hair was so short. lol
iLikeMenNow77: We partly used the pony tail idea but it didn't do much so we guess worked it and it's just fine. You're hair looks really pretty ombré and curly c:.
Samy Rae: Sorry to hear that, as I said, it might not work for everyone, and I'm not a professional, do at your own risk. I'm not lucky, I just know my hair and how it reacts to bleach, color, etc. So I knew it would turn out.
iLikeMenNow77: We tried, and it failed. You're just lucky.
Samy Rae: yay! glad it turned out well!!
Katt Reid: turned out perfectly! thank you so much! got my new fall look lol
Samy Rae: Awe thanks! and good luck! let me know how it turns out!! :) xx
EMT: Thanks! They sometimes skip corners and take the easy way. If they ever did that, I suggest you consult with a paralegal or lawyer. This way they won't be able to cheat you.
