pmweapon: 1aauto do you have a video for a 2003 model?
Bootleg Charlie: how do you get a door open that is a jammed? the outside handle is not
attached by the rod at all. and when pulling the inside handle to open the
door it barely move outward not completing the process of opening the door.
basically I can't get in or out of that door
Aaron Richter: can you put a video on how to replace the actuator on a 99 silverado?
TheRx350: Love your guys's help with something, I have a 98 Sierra manual door lock
that rotates freely sometimes. When its cold (I live in the Yukon) the keys
are almost impossible to turn and I feel like its gonna bend the key but
then the key can spin 360 degrees plus. Is it just in need of some lube and
a tighter retaining mechanism?
staaberelli: Can you tell me what the bolt size was that you used?
knowledgeableguy: Great video...but does it work for GMC jimmy 2001?
Darren Ward: Excellent video, this will save me alot of frustration.
TxMa'am: I have a 98 Chevy 1500 and something slipped off my door handle so now it
just hangs there limp. Now the lock won't work from the outside or the
inside and something scrapes the window occasionally, and recently the
window has started stopping (electric windows) midway through rolling it
up; I also hear something jangling around in there. I have no idea what
part(s) this is. I can only open my door by rolling down the window and
using the outside door handle. Please help me...give me some ideas.
Lunch box: thanks!
DALE97DSM: what about the old style inside that are manual locks, my relative has a
problem with both doors, wont lock at all.
1A Auto Parts: You may want to remove the door panel to see if the rods have become
detached from the door handle. You may also be able to reattach it to the
door from the inside. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Ilivein505: I have electric windows, but my door is dented so I bought one from a
junkyard.Only problem is that its a manual window. Is there a way to replace
most of the components on the original door to the new one
1A Auto Parts: The rear tailgate door may be different. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
TheReformedPuritan: Will these instructions work for the rear wagon door lock as well? Thanks.
cdoyle: Do you have any videos for replacing the actuator in a 99 Silverado? This
one says it only goes up to 98, so not sure how similar they are.
meloveud: same with me!
Alsam: Fantastic! The dealer made a big deal about it and wanted $450 to fix it. I
bought the part from you and did it in an afternoon. Cost me under $50!
edpdx: Question: My passenger rear door lock went out; but I lived with it. Months
later hte fuse has blown- (a 25 amp yellow mini). When I change it out, it
just blows again. Is this likely the actuator from the problem door, or is
this something else?
1A Auto Parts: This repair should be the same if not pretty close on your 99 Silverado.
1A Auto Parts: @CHSLION There is a video for removing the door panel on a 2002 Sierra.
That is the same as your suburban. The rear door panel then comes off
similarly to the front.
Kimmy Kim: I have a 2004 yukon denali and the driver door is locked and will not open
from the inside or with the key. I want to replace the system behind the
panel and have all the necessary materials. But how do I get the door to
open to do this?
1A Auto Parts: @edpdx There may be a frayed wire somewhere making the fuse blow.If there
is, it's probably coming in contact with something metal.
1A Auto Parts: Check the fuse, and also check the harness that runs between the
driver-side door and the body of the truck for a broken of frayed wire that
may need to be repaired. Hope this helps you out. Have a great day!
1A Auto Parts: @guybini HI Guy, when this happens it's a not an easy task getting the door
panel off. We carry the replacement door lock actuator actuators for your
99 Cadillac Escalade on our website 1aauto.com Here's a link that you can
copy and paste into your browser also, which will go right to the part.
juan macedo: Hi: Interesting video tutorial. alone a technical question: The light of
white mica with red that is ignited on having opened the door to replace
the bulb. It is nesesario to remove the lid of the door or it does to
itself dede the mica thank you for his response.
mistermexxico: Hi guys, i see some are asking questions, so I'll shoot one too. I have a
Ford F-150, half cab.. however, one of the rear doors won't open, only the
rear driver door works. is there a way to fix the other one? Something may
be wrong inside the door and I don't know what it might be, if someone
could direct me to a forum or a video that would be great. Thanks.
95beretta: It doesn't have an alarm system at all. There isn't an auto unlock feature
either. The truck was bought new by me and it just started doing it in the
past few years. The key fob works as it should. The drivers door is the
only one to lock when I turn the key on.
1A Auto Parts: @mistermexxico You may want to use a test light to see if there's power
going to the actuator inside the door. If there is then the door lock
actuator is more than likely bad. If there's no power to the actuator,
check the fuse and then the door lock switch. If there's power coming from
the switch, check the door harness that goes between the driverside door
and the body of the truck. Many times a wire can become frayed or even
break causing things like power windows and locks not to work.
pedro de alvarado: @1aauto hi my friend i accidentally took the door lock of my truck and it
doesnt close do you think its completely damaged ? if you know a solution

cleanupman1645: Hello, i have installed a Amp to my factory radio.... any way to make the
turn signal flash quiter or mute it?
1A Auto Parts: Awesome! Thank you for your order. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
BuckslayerBob: If the lock still moves, but not enough to always lock or unlock the door,
is the problem still with the actuators? The lock levers are tough to
manually move up and down as well. Thanks.
1A Auto Parts: @staaberelli The bolt head was 10mm. I think the are m6 1.5 cm.
1A Auto Parts: Unfortunately you need to replace the entire unit. Most of the pieces are
riveted together and it would take longer to try and piece it back together
than just tossing either a new or used unit into the vehicle.
nick shmyr: I have a 2005 silverado and my driver side door is doing this. I noticed
that my light is out on my door panel and that it works sometimes. When the
light is on, the door unlocks with the key fob or the lock button. Do you
know what it could be? Thanks
1A Auto Parts: The door lock actuator in the door may be bad.
1A Auto Parts: You may want to try check the locking mechanism to see if they're frozen.
1A Auto Parts: @TheRx350 You would need to remove the door panel on the door and see if
there's something that needs to be tightened on the key lock inside of the
door. It may have come loose somehow. Hope this helps.
1A Auto Parts: We'll keep this in mind in the event that we need to make this repair on a
meloveud: i have a 92 chevy truck, and my locks are out just like this, i hope my dad
