Louis Efren Vi-Jon Romero Navarro: what version is better backtrack 5 r3 kde or gnome???
Dishing Tech: If you could make a video response, I might be able to figure out what is wrong. Delete the VM and create a new one.
Charles Naldo: Nope. :(
Dishing Tech: Really not sure, shouldn't take very long at all. Can you get to command prompt?
Charles Naldo: Hey mine is taking so long to load. Is like still loading something?
Dishing Tech: Easiest way is to download vmware, create a new virtual machine as other linux kernel 2.6. Navigate to the ISO and you will be done.
charles Naldo: Hey can you please make a video on How to install ReaverPro, I already have the ISO file. I just need to know how to install it. Thankyou! :)
Dishing Tech: Reaver is installed by default in BT 5 and above. If not, you must install it. I can't type commands in here but head over to Reaver google code to know how to install it.
flyboyissac1: this didnt help at all how do i get reaver into backtrack you already have it in there
Dishing Tech: Technically it should, I have not tried it but it must be the 32bit KDE version. It would only take you 5 minutes to test if you already have it. What I would do is download BackTrack 5r1, install Reaver Pro and use the upgrade terminal commands to get to R3. Alternatively you could download the hot pursuit VMware image version which has Reaver Pro installed and then use the terminal upgrade commands to get to R3
harries ahmed: would this work for bt5r3?
Dishing Tech: would it be possible if you could do a video showing me how you installed it. The hot pursuit VMware Backtrack edition should work after you import it into VMware. Are you a mac or windows user? have you used vmware before. Send me a personal message on youtube and i can send you some downloads and information.
bryan enzo: prejudice adrian .. I did as you said I joined the forum penguin but there is nothing to make my problem and display pages in English that I do not know ... I reinstalled the whole way around the BT5 r1 kde, even after hot-pursuit and all its components and then immediately copy and paste: Desktop / hot_pursuit reboot
I open firefox 127.0.0.1 I get out of no connectivity, but I'm connected .. why?
Dishing Tech: ah not at all, glad i can help :)
bryan enzo: ah so sorry for the inconvenience .... adrian
Dishing Tech: if you are still having trouble with this after my last message to you, contact Mr. Penguin in the Xiaopan Forums and he will put you in touch with someone who has installed it for more detailed instructions.
Dishing Tech: My guide does not show how to import the Hot Pursuit VMware Image into VMware. Download VMware or VMware Workstation, Install VMware, open VMware, Then extract the 3.5GB hot pursuit image into a folder which should give you the 19.7GB, click file, then import the image. If it asks what operating system click linux and ubuntu. Then it will ask for a username and password, it is root and toor respectively. This will take you into the GUI, from there you can open Firefox, then you can use ReaverPro
bryan enzo: I can not understand why it did not work, but your guide seguento
Dishing Tech: you are not installing it properly, the hot pursuit version already has it installed. You will need VMware or VMware workstation to install it. This will not work live.
bryan enzo: I started from the beginning, I put the folder of 19.7 GB hot pursuit rvpd pack
back to the desktop .. now?
