DUTCHHUSKY66: My pleasure! If you only own this saw for one year, and if it is still in good condition and functioning to your liking, why change it for something else? The 560 is a bit better indeed, but not so good that you'd trade in an almost brand new 357 for it. Just use your saw until it is older and then get yourself a 560 as a replacement. Unless you have a lot of money, in this case you could buy one right now ;) I have never had a problem with one of my 562's up till now. Future will tell more!
Mihai Adam: i am sorry for asking you so many questions, but i do not know anyone who owns a 560 or 562, so thank you agan for all your answers.
Mihai Adam: this is also what i am thinking. In your opinion, is 560 faster and better then 357? does it worh to buy the 560?(one of my 357's it is only one year old) did u had any problems with your 562?
DUTCHHUSKY66: In comparison with the 357 you will be very happily surprised! I've noticed a huge difference between these two saws in a positive way! I'm happy that I swapped the 357 and the 362 against a couple of these new models.
DUTCHHUSKY66: I've also had one 357 xpg in the past, served me perfectly fine, also I've had a 362 xp. Since all these saws come with small bar mounts, if I am not mistaken, I would stay with the .325"small mount system, i.e. the 560 XP(G). The chain is a bit narrower than the 3/8" system (562), therefore it should go a bit faster, depending on the right type of chain and your sharpening skills of course :) If you like the 560 better, then take it! It's probably also a little cheaper to buy than the 562!
Mihai Adam: thank you for the info. i curently own two 357's and a 262( 1997), and since i finnaly found someone that i can ask, how much better is the 560/562 compared with 357? my 357 has 18 inch bar on 3'25, and i did once tried a 18 inch bar on 3/8 and i felt like it is a little to much for 357 model...so i guess the 560 is a bit faster than 562 because of chain pitch,or am i mistaken? i like a little beter the 560 because of it's small air filter...witch one would you recomand 560 or 562?
DUTCHHUSKY66: 1.) I saw nobody answered your questions, so I'll give it a go. I've had some experience with the 560 and I own two 562's. In general both saws are completely equal, the only difference is that the 562 has the larger bar mounts (maybe a bit stronger i.e. longer lasting?) and the 562 also has a somewhat bigger airfilter. The reason I bought only 582's is that I want to match up almost all my saws in pitch 3/8, because then I only need to carry one type of chain, bar, files etc.
