Marushka Haubrich: hey baby,,, you remind me of my son.... lol he used to do all of the repairs on my cars. I don't mind the language.... I'm sure your mom appreciates the help...
Damienziegfried: yeah mate freak Kent he must not know mechanics personally lol
Yoshimus Maximus: You know how I can tell you're overweight?
Ghondi1: I love how ignorant people think educated people can't or don't cuss. lol
Eric O.: Okay now i know what i did wrong, i forgot to clean my egr valve in a parking lot, with kids in the background, with some good ol carb and choke cleaner.
hector rodriguez: I have a 2001 Honda Prelude with the code 1456 pd. Can someone help me to locate the evap vac solenoid. I was told to change this and the problem will be solved.
Blake Saters: freak freak freakity freak freak
gloria Ramirez: Your a good son, taking care of moms car.;)
wingman1861: im not worried about a following lol..cars tend to piss me off,so i cuss at them..and it makes me feel just a little better
Rob Halstead: Here's a better idea.
Kent Owens: Thank you for the tutorial. The language is just not necessary though. It makes you sound uneducated. Ditch the crude narrative and you will be able to create a larger following.
Eric Gawlak: on my truck, it specifically said egr valve so prolly not but a mechanic or parts store employee can prolly help u figure it out
harstine420: Your code doesn't mean the valve is at fault exactly, only that the system isn't working properly. You should be sure that the EGR system as a total system is being applied at the proper time, the O2 sensor is monitoring this system for proper application.
wingman1861: it wont be the egr. look at my other video called IAC cleaning. and you want to use a sensor safe carb cleaner.gas and wd40 will not work
Yurblers: dude. in New Zealand a EGR for my 5th Gen Prelude is 400 :(
wingman1861: maybe...the egs has a few parts to it...could be a vac leak,bad canister
miggidymark: Cool video.....I got a reading of P1404 which stood for exhaust gas system, would cleaning my EGR be the solution??
Rick Bass: the EGR valve for mine is a hundred bucks, so this is a good idea
wingman1861: i do agree it is easier! but its to hard to tell someone that over the phone or show the right fuse in a video.
doren garcia: One thing added, to reset the computer on some cars you pull the fuse rather than unhook the battery so your radio presets don't have to be redone.
doren garcia: Best one on EGR valve. Thanks.
doren garcia: Anyone knows that.
jermainegood: yum oh thats just freaking, nasty lls
annasmother: you made a mistake spraying carb cleaner on the plastic diapgragm, that will ruin it man. Just spray on the metal holes.
710 Visions: If you don't want to or can't get the EGR valve off, you can pull off the vacuum line and screw a small screw into the opening of the vacuum line. Try to use a small enough screw that you don't f up the vacuum line though, in case you want to replace or clean it later.
spikeman dan: wouldn't it be better to just get rid of the dam thing all together..?
wingman1861: could be. might be a vac leak somewhere else..id need more info
gregg11z: my 1999 sxi corsa is currently hesitating around 4,000 revs and then after that it is away like freak, would a faulty egr valve be the problem??
Paul Hogan: That noise you can hear coming from the front end in your mothers neon sounds like the rubber grommets that support the sway bar. On the dodge caravan the sway bar has two mounting locations on the fire wall.
MarcoTUV: But EGR valvle is not enterely responsible for fuel comsumption also you must check your oxygen sensors also
correct tire pressure, brakes, air and fuel filter and spark plugs
those little bastards are responsible of 4 mpg efficiency
scaryman101086: just close it with a plate ;)
Ros R: does it affect fuel consumption?
Sandro Romagnuolo: Sei un cane, non si pulisce così la EGR
wotan237: ok, thanks..one last question....Im a bit concerned about access....if I reach around and pop the two bolts I think there will be a third bolt to remove related to something else....the damn thing is just so far back in the engine toward the dash...Ive never done anything like this before but I dont want to pay for a new one to be installed....what can go wrong if I take it off and clean it an put it back myself? Whats the worst case scenario?
wingman1861: i'm not sure if it looks the same, but dont use a wire brush.the inside diaphragm is made of a rubber base piece.ive found carb and choke cleaner and tooth brush work best
wotan237: Im about to do this for my suzuki vitara....does the part pretty much look the same?
and do I have to use the choke spray or can this be all done with a wire brush?
swingerinsurance: How long did the code stay off? Did this 11 months ago, and it came back on. Thinking about taking on cleaning all the ports.
easyreadys: dont touch it up, clean it.
logicCplusplus: have you tried WD-40?
Raymond09871: I cleaned my egr on a Ford- the light turned off for 2 weeks then came back on. I cleaned it again and the light stays on.
Will Willwill: watch yourself with the chemicals. can cause cancer and bad for the environment.
Michael Phillips: I've got a Land Rover Free Lander that's been doing my freaking head in for over a month. Replaced a fuel pump, 2 fuel filters and a kinked fuel pipe that connects the filter to the fuel tank. Researched the net and the symptoms seem to point to the EGR. Let's hope this fix works so I can sleep at night.
jake paige: Spit on it. BAHAHA
mysticalwonder7: Thanks. Yeah, I need to get to this quick. Light shut off for a week just by tightening the second bolt alone, but now it's on again. Gonna clean it and the tube that runs down and back if I can and give it a blow out run on the highway. Do like 120 and scare people and then see what happens. lol
wingman1861: its been a year...by now the headstones in place and the grass has grown up above him :>)
wingman1861: i dont see why it wouldnt work, but make sure you get all the bolts. the egr runs on vacuum and need a good seal.
mysticalwonder7: Wingman, you think it would work on a 2 year old EGR that was only bolted on with one bolt for that duration? I replaced mine in my Plymouth Grand Voyager in the crap cold of the winter in 2010 and my hands were so numb, I could bang them on the ground and not feel them so I said freak it, I'm gonna just throw this in and get the freak out. It ran with no engine check light until a month ago. Now I'm wondering if I could just clean it out like you did here.
bill jones: Your right this is america . Thats why I wondered why he didnt have 15 cops beating him Rodney King style for just working on his car
