phishst1cks: high quality looking pistol..cant wait for the range vid..nice intro..
Ray Edwards: I don't think it's ugly at all...I like it! Great vid and congrats on the
sunbaskingman: That's one of the better condition Makarovs I've seen.
Tony K: if u dont like it will give u 100 bucks for it,ha ha ha
RETIREINARIZONA: Very nice intro and video, Makarov's are not for me .
kg9pz: @RETIREINARIZONA Thanks! I think the Makarov is one of those guns that has
no middle ground, it seems to be a love, or hate, kind of thing.
shywade01: Is that the only clip that fits?
kg9pz: @stlrayedwards Agreed. I'm very fortunate to have a friend in
mike che: cool gun i like how it looks
kg9pz: @ChromeFreak123 That's great to know, Chromefreak! Thank you for stopping
by and sharing that with me! I appreciate your comment. BTW, your 1911
disassembly/reassembly video really helped me out! I had forgotten the
direction of the disconnector when reassembling. Saved my old Springer from
the smelter! LOL! Thanks for posting it.
kg9pz: @Barraki148 LOL! Yeah it'll do that if your volume is up when it starts!
kg9pz: @phishst1cks Thanks! I've read that Russian made models are the better
ones. I anxious to see how it runs, also. It's too bad the debut of my new
intro was spoiled by the glitch, but it all better now. I think it looks
great! My friend did a great job!
Ray Edwards: Oh and BTW, I love the intro! Very cool!
kg9pz: @TheHobbyistChannel Thanks, brother! That intro is working out great! I
hope sent some new subs your way, my friend, you deserve all you get. Not
that you needed my help with that. LOL! Thanks for commenting!
hunttonasket: I have a Russian model shoots great and is very accurate I just put a
little white paint on the front sight, but your right that's one hell the
TheHobbyistChannel: Nice:-), nice addition to the collection too. Always good to meet new
people here on YT!
ITHINKUREALESUK: interesting design, thanks for sharing. got some nice functions, ie
kg9pz: @Xerxes1688 Thank for the comment! I wasn't aware of the hi-cap version. I
think this might be my only Makarov, though. Thanks for the info!
kg9pz: @sunbaskingman Thank you! It appears to have had little use. I traded for
it on a whim, but may not keep it. I'll reserve judgement until I've put a
few rounds through it. I hope to get it to the range this weekend for a
test run. Watch for the range report video! Thanks for commenting.
ChromeFreak123: I am a complete Makarov Freak. lol. Its a great shooting little gun and
perfect for ccw. You will love how accurate it is with the fixed barrel and
also polygonal barreling. Great find. : )
shywade01: Do other clips fit?
cramsa: I got one on lay away... looks like it was in good condition with a lil
wear on the outside but it was solid. Will pay down all of it soon and cant
wait to shoot it... $199 for mine.
Xerxes1688: @kg9pz This hi-cap version is based on the military Makarov PMM. The PMM,
in 9x18mm Makarov, not only had a higher capacity than the original
Makarov, but also a stronger recoil spring so they can use +P+ amor
piercing loads without damaging the gun. Not sure about your Baikal, but
since you mentioned that the recoil spring is pretty strong, maybe it can
accept hotloads too.
Shane McDowell: Stalin owned one of these! :D
Russian Filipino: I can't find a russian made Makarov anywhere. I sat with my dealer for two
hours and still couldn't find one.
kg9pz: @stlrayedwards Thanks! We can take it to the range when you get your CZ
Xerxes1688: I actually like how it looks, it's simple, spartan. There's also a
hi-capacity versión, with a fatter grip to accomodate 12 round, double
stack, single-column feed magazines.
kg9pz: @ITHINKUREALESUK Thank you, sir. The east block had some differnt ideas
about weaponry, but you can't argue about reliability & function over form.
MakingMasterClass: Thats a great looking little pistol brother. I bet the recoil is minimal
with the weight.
ksharpe10: One great carry pistol, hope you still have it.
ChromeFreak123: @kg9pz Thank you for all the kind words. It is great to hear when one of my
videos actually helped someone. Its the whole reason I do these videos.
Thanks brother. : )
kg9pz: @MakingMasterClass Thanks! I'm hoping it is, Steve. I'm looking forward to
shooting the weekend of the 22nd & 23rd. I have to work this weekend, so
I'll have to wait & see. I have high expectations.
Chef de NYC: Thanks! I'm more info ultrasound type of work. I learn most of the stuff myself online. Just only recently start looking for a school to make things "official". Hehe
