darkspectro100: Any chance to make a tactical version on 308 ,same twix 1/10 & 24-26in.How about a camo version?
Horizon585: Is this a good entry rifle?
Guitar Dave: I want to see how one feels and maybe get one in a lighter caliber than my 700 , if it feels as good as it looks I will add it to the ones I have now .
Guitar Dave: I was just in Academy and they carry the 770 but I want them to carry the 783 . I have a Model 700 that people have been trying to get me to sell for years . I hope the 783 shoots as good as the 700 I have . I really got lucky with this one .
Joe Jones: That is awesome
Shai'Tan Malkier: When will the Mossy Oak stock be available? Everywhere I look the only stock that is listed is the black synthetic stock.
Remington Arms Company: MSRP is $451
Meghan Flis: How much do these new rifles cost? I cant find a price nowhere?
GodOfWar5341: Will a 700 rail system work with the 783 ?
chivenyc: R783 VTR in 308? That would be awesome!
John Troy: Is the bolt replaceable with the 700?
MrMisterYSL: Would you recommend the 783 or the 700 series for a new shooter?
Zack Corbin: when will a camo option be available on the 783.
Mike B: Hope to see this in .260 Remington and .280 Remington, two of my faves!
mrdole2008: I bought a 783 as soon as they were in stores. In fact I got the very first one at the gander mountain by my house. It had just come off the truck shortly before I got there. Its a very nice rifle and a great price.
Jeff Harms: hey could the modle 783 drop an elk over 400 yards that is a .308
Remington Arms Company: Yes there will be more caliber options in the future.
Remington Arms Company: Yes. The Model 783 would be a great rifle for that.
crazyheatrocker: hey remington, would you say I could use this for a nice light 308 target rifle just to practice marksmanship and hunt occasionally?
John Troy: Are you going to make it for more calibers like 300 win mag?
korisho: Is there any way that I pair of iron sights be placed on the rifle? Call my old way, but I enjoy iron sights as they are always good to have incase the scope is damage or you don't have one yet.
mike allrite: one day these will be in aus 308 please mate
davidnettube: How accurate is Remington 783 in terms of MOA, assuming used by a perfect shooter or tested by Remington's testing equipment?
Paul Altum: 22" barells?! Any plans to change that to 24"? That would be the advantage over buying a savage to me.
Tim Archibald: Looking forward to getting mine in 7mm Rem Mag but i'm curious what is the action screw spacing?
Timothy Paz: hey Remington, when will a tactical model be released, any time estimate will be awesome, thanks.
Michael Badaszewski: Weaver offers detachable 1" top rings in high. Mediums left the scope too low but gun smith recommended getting the highs.
Bladesting: What exactly was changed with bolt so that it doesn't hit the scopes? Also is the bolt on this gun plastic or metal?
Remington Arms Company: You should experience no problems from the bolt handle.
Bladesting: Hey Remington I just ordered my 783 about 1 day ago will there be any problem with the bolt handle or have you gotten that sorted out because I am mating this rifle with a Bushnells 4-12x 40mm DOA 600 Scope
Optimatorz: Test hunting with a new Remington rifle? Where do I apply for that job!
Looks like a fabulous hunting rifle. I'm thinking one in 30-06 would be a great all-around rifle for North America. The dimensions are about perfect - 7.2 lbs. and 42 and 5/8" overall. Heavy enough to manage recoil but not too burdensome to hunt with in extreme country.
Remington Arms Company: There is not currently a left hand version of the Model 783. For more information on features and specifications please visit our website.
Remington Arms Company: The Model 783 is only available with a synthetic stock at this time.
Remington Arms Company: Please give our consumer service team a call at 1-800-243-9700.
cullen lavigne: I bought a 783 a few weeks ago and i haven't been able to find scope rings the are high enough for the bolt to pass, without hitting the scope. Any suggestions?
Kohen Wolski: How long until this can reach the australian market? Am interested in purchasing one
Andrew Livingston: Cool. But does it come in wood stock?
Remington Arms Company: We were using a 7mm Remington Mag during those hunts.
blackops617: Awesome. What caliber were you using during the test/hunt?
Remington Arms Company: Yes you can use this rifle for hunting elk. We have actually taken it on several successful elk hunts during our field tests of the new platform.
blackops617: Hello Remington Arms, huge fan here. Let me first say this gun will be the one to take up the next spot in my safe :) Really stunning firearm here that's for sure. I'm wondering, will the 308 Winchester round be suitable for taking down an Elk. I keep seeing the gun advertised as a Whitetail gun, in your new catalog and in this video. But i'd like this to be my Elk gun for the upcoming Fall season. Any feedback would be wonderful, and thank you in advance.
The Defenders Team: Does Remington make a lefthand version of the 783? I have 2 lefthand Remingtons (which I absolutely love), one is an old Model 788 in .308 Win., the other a 700 in 30-06. Also have not yet seen available calibers for the 783, where's the list?
PCnever: looking at this for my first bolt action, cant wait
troy murchie: I have one, 30-06 topped with a bushnell legend HD ultra, used a half box of 165gr core-lock, last three rounds went thru the same hole, i love it, i live in northern bc canada cant wait to go moose hunting this fall.
dieudopote soral: only the remington 700!
Remington Arms Company: Give our consumer service team a call at 1-800-243-9700.
GrandpaDoom: I want one but I live in Scotland. Boo! :(
Brian Martin: My SPS tactical 308 with a 20 in bull barrel combined with a Leopold 3-9 x 40 works more than fine .
