Master Forge Vertical Charcoal Smoker Part Two - And Mods From UDS

What do you think about this video?

Roberto Hernandez: Aaaaghhhhh, Is that a dent? ... - What dent? ....Aaaghhhhhhhh...... Ooooppsss..!! Aaaaghhhhhhhh..... Super nice edited....

PUNKem733: Funny how cheap these smokers are, but the thermometer on the dome is actually very accurate. Even more so then any weber thermo on a WSM dome.

James Brouillette: Your coals burned way way to much , control the intake , keep exhaust open , stack ready coals (from starter) in dead center using minion method . keep temp below 250 ! ,  Second , roll up the newspaper and twist it really tight and circle it around bottom of starter , that will light your coals quicker !

handymanstan: Dude you ruined your smoker by cutting out the bottom of the ash pan.  I get 10-12 hrs at 250* by just blocking the bottom hole and adding a hole in the front of the bottom pan.  add a rack is good but the way it works is the air coming from the bottom is directed in one direction and you removed this.  Learn the minion method .  Your top vent is where the top meets the smoker.

Jay Boyle: I guess it's my OCD and that replacement instructions are hard to get unless you can go to the Lowe's site and hopefully download the instructions. I wouldn't burn the instructions but that's his smoker and he can do what he wants.

Ed pritchard: Jay, dont be a tool.

Jay Boyle: Two things wrong. 1. You misspelled vertical as verticle. 2. You used the instruction booklet to start the fire. Those thinks are hard to get from Lowe's/Master Forge as it is.

SonikkuBrat: Oh god damnit, I've been using a charcoal starter the wrong way all this time. FFS. Thank you for this video.

Alex280: You don't want a smoker to get to hot, if you want high heat use a grill.

Richard Downer: tell your wife, the dent is from when you dropped it in part one. that's when you where showing us the bottom haha

moncorp1: You're not getting enough air flow. You need just one decent hole for the top(keep open at all times). You probably need more vents down where the fire is. Preferable vents even with or slightly lower than the fire. Adjust those holes to control temp. Good Luck!

Lellwyn Griffin: I am having a problem keeping the temp above 225? Any suggestion?

Schools: Learn how to get phlebotomy training in California! The job pays decent money for the amount of schools needed to graduate.
