IIIsticksone: I was able to. It was a pain, and the stock part got scratched up a bit. I
did not want to take the pipes off either because of that one bolt that is
impossiable to reach!
lanceoa: Awesome mods... gd work! Cant wait to get my hands on the Nighty!
IIIsticksone: It does allow a lot more air in vs the stock cleaner. If you have
aftermarket pipes then you will need some sort of fule manager. I am going
with the race tuner but there are others that are cheaper. Hope that helps,
I will keep you posted on how it does after the Sereaming Eagle Race Tuner.
IIIsticksone: @mindthreat44 How about $50.00. I will tell you that they are for a wide
glide front end. I like them but you may not.
Brian Holloway: NICE!!!! keep ridin!
IIIsticksone: @brandonm1392 Well, yes other wise I would have bought a crotch rocket. But
with those pipes and air cleaner along with the SEST I was able to get
about 20 more hp over stock. So I am happy with both the looks and
IIIsticksone: Thanks for the kind words. My bike seemed to have a little better response
with the Screaming Eagle air cleaner, but this may be because the download
that the dealer installed was for that air cleaner. I had my 10k service
done the other day and my plugs were scary white so I have to believe that
the joker air cleaner can be better then the SE if it is tuned. I am
getting the race tunner done in a couple of weeks so I will have a better
OlyMar83: the bike is great the camera is even better! ahah What kind is it??
bdubdgaf: real nice look'n, i really like the solo bag, i've been holding off on
getting one because I couldnt find a style I liked, but that bag fits the
IIIsticksone: @scienceguy72 I used J&P part number 310-135 It gave me the right look for
$20.00. Hope that helps.
IIIsticksone: Thanks man! The Z bars were great, no problems. I did switch them out for
some 14" Nash Grits, just to change it up a bit. I did 2 vids of me
installing them, check them out if you have time. I think one of the most
comfy seats is the Mustang it just wasnt the look I wanted. Check out the
XL forums for some great mods that other people have done. Lots of good
ideas to get you going. Ride safe>
hoohoohoblin: Great video! Very thorough. It's great that you explain where you got
everything and how hard it was to install. The Harley Nightster looks good
from the factory, but you made it even better. Thanks.
rmh1120: did you put that sproket cover on without removing the pipes? I justttt put
shortshots on and don't feel like takin them off again if i don't need to!
IIIsticksone: Sweet! Post a vid when it is done. Good luck and ride safe.
IIIsticksone: @mindthreat44 They are from Pagcho. I had them powdercoated black. I do not
run them anymore, if you like them I can sell them to you.
druun1t: I have the same A/C..... Harley head bolt covers.... the black with chrome
line. its in the catalog. They fit perfectly over those brass colored bolts
and secure nicely. You gotta get them wires inside the bars. But otherwise
looking good. The gas cap makes this bike yours. Nice touch
IIIsticksone: @OlyMar83 It is a flip that I pick up on sale for $48!
IIIsticksone: It was pretty easy, you will need a set of Torq bits to lossen the shock
IIIsticksone: Just an update. I had the dealer install the Screaming Eagle Super Turner
yesterday and according to the Dyno sheet I am at 76 hp which is pretty
good over stock.
Riyadh Al Rasheed: hey man nice mods ... cool :) I bught a 2009 nightster , (2 ones
Sliver/Black) wonder what i should do it with it in terms of mods. s the
Z-Bar comfy for the long rides ? and the seat , ya i admit it , it s not
comfy at a ll , found this brawler seat from Harley site, don't know if it
would be a good choice, lemme know what u think .... peace ;)
IIIsticksone: Thanks for the comments. You will be happy with that list. They are quality
products. Do you have aftermarket pipes? If so you will need to get some
sort of fuel manager with that air cleaner. I did not at first and my pulgs
were scary white! I did the SEST and was able to get 76 hp bike screams now.
illetrop79: hey man , is the belt gaurd a hassel to take off ?
Dave McNamara: Your bike is looking awesome, I love the mods, they go well with the bike.
What mirrors are those? and do you have a link?
IIIsticksone: Thanks for the kind words! I am happy with it on the fork, I can see all
the lights and guage well. I have seen others mount it on the left side of
the engine but I think the forks make it easier to see.
Shan DaMan: very nice mods! I bought an 09 nightster and your pegs, air filter and gas
cap are the ones i was planning on putting my bike. They look great! Thanks
for putting up the video, it gave my an idea of how things are going to
look! Thanks again, ride safe!
chopperchefrz: killer gas cap!
IIIsticksone: @geoff1408 Thanks man! Making it my own is what it is all about.
edg crocker: Good job on the bike it looks great
scienceguy72: Hey man I did the headlight relocation too and I can't for the life of me
find a mounting block that has over two inches of vertical offset. I
listened to your vid and tried both JP and Headwinds with no luck. Any
geoffrey wright: the thing i like about this bike is , there is no other like it, one of
kind good job mate well done and thanks for sharing.
IIIsticksone: I am not sure on that one. I dont know where the pegs mount.
JaketheSnake904: @IIIsticksone How much would you want for em?
IIIsticksone: @kyleneva Thanks for the kind words. I have not seen Joker Machine stuff on
sale it is spendy but good quality parts. Check out LowBrow Customs when
you order. Those dudes are solid and will get it to you quick. Good luck
with your ride.
Spencerian: Nice Mod.
bdubdgaf: dose the saddle bag cover the area where the passenger foot peg installs? I
really want the same bag but dont know if I can sacrafice the passenger
peg, my ol' lady likes riding to much
schellingr: Very very nice!
JaketheSnake904: Where did you get those hande bars?
brandonm1392: seems lke your more concerned with the look then the actual performance
vzhdnightster08: nice bike man, I just got the speedo kit and was wondering if you had to
take the front tire off to slide the fork tube down or can you just slide
both down what's easier?
IIIsticksone: Thanks man. I am really happy with the bag. It is nice to be able to carry
a few things without wearing a backpack.
IIIsticksone: I just slide both forks down. I did not take the front tire off. I markded
the forks where they need to go in the clamps so when I put them back I
knew they were even. I had to use a strap to pull the tire close to the
frame in order to get the forks to slide back in the trees. When lifted
they will tend to go away from the frame. Does that make sense? Good luck
let me know if I can help. It is a sweet product that I am sure you will
Attila .Godolley: Nice nightster i would start looking for some new rear shocks , mine wore
out after only 5000 kms
catalinaisland2: Hey brother, bike looks nice! I just picked up one of those spedo
relocators and am about to mount it. Was wondering if you liked where it
mounts on the forks? Were you considering mounting it anywhere else?
