thing so that I can put it in my power point?
Micheal C: full intro music please
Terminaterr3: THANKS HELPED ALOT!!!
GameTipsAndMoreBlog: Thanks for sharing your settings, BroHah! Can I throw in a couple of
related 'Video Editing Tips For PowerDirector', for everyone? (They all
have a Short Version at the end of each, don't worry): ■ In Powerdirector,
"Smoothing" in the render settings is not actually Frame Interpolation [or
'Frame Blending', which you started to describe in the video - but what you
began to talk about is indeed a real thing that other programs can do, you
are correct about the concept].
In PowerDirector, "Smoothing" will literally soften your video, making it
slightly blurry. This usually hides small imperfections in the video and
helps with data compression because the algorithm doesn't have to calculate
as many detail differences (things are 'smoothed out' so there is less
detail to keep track of and the size of the output will be smaller).
I played with PowerDirector a while back [around version 2 and 3 - and I am
starting to get back into it again] and in the Manual/User's Guide for the
older versions, it actually states what Smoothing is (in general, using
even less words than the above paragraph).
Short Version: The "Smoothing" in PowerDirector's render options slightly
blurs everything; but only a little, and it can help with keeping rendered
file sizes smaller, since there is slightly less 'detail to try to keep'
■ MPEG4 and AVC[which is MPEG4 as well] are actually successors to MPEG2,
and you will get better quality at the same settings with MPEG4 (it can
compress video better while attempting to maintain more quality than
MPEG2). MPEG4 also has some self-corrrecting capabilites, which will 'hide'
compression artifacts [in video editing, "artifacts" here means little
glitches in the video that show up when you try to compress it too much).
MPEG2 does not have these 'self-healing' powers - such as "Deblocking", for
instance [which tries to hide the edges of areas that the codec is keeping
track of, when compressing..]. You would have to render to MPEG2 at a much
higher bitrate [like BluRray Discs do!] to see the same quality and detail
kept untouched from the original video/recording.
However, if you use MPEG4/AVC to render your game recordings for uploads,
YouTube recompresses your uploaded videos 'again' into MPEG4, so you would
actually see an accentuation of compression artifacts that will be created
in the same spots from your compressed video (the little glitches will look
worse when YouTube compresses your video into MPEG4 for the second time).
What that means is, when uploading to YouTube: it is better to render out
your video to a transitory codec (something other than MPEG4), so that when
YouTube recompress your video a second time for keeping on their servers,
it is at least not finding/creating the 'same little glitches in the same
little spots' (which makes them stand out more).
Short Version: Although you get better quality at the same bitrate with
MPEG4 than with MPEG2 - for uploading to YouTube - use MPEG2 (or any
middle-man codec that is NOT MPEG4 [many people even use WMV]), so that
YouTube doesn't compress everything 'twice the exact same way' and make
your uploaded videos look worse.
Thanks again for making the great videos, BroHah!
DubbyDesperado: Thanks for the help!
Madam Mew: thanks broha
Hippa CRITIC: Not sure if this will help but just before you render, tick fast rendering
technology off because even though you have to wait a bit longer I noticed
that it lowers the file size of the video since it's not trying focusing on
victor4truth: Why are the files that I produce and save so huge compared to the original?
And the pie chart on the produce page looks like I'm running out of space.
Do I have to delete some files to free some space? And if so where are they

akillerbanana: what pvr do you use?
HaMeRcHo: Wait a little bit for YouTube to render the vid.
BroHahLikesYou: I'm not sure exactly what might be causing the problem but doing a clean
instal of power director would probably fix your problem.
HaMeRcHo: what if my resolution is 1600x900
Underline ENT: Having some issues even before looking at your video, when I process the
video it always bring up a cyber link issue that says PDR11.exe has stopped

MrImperialGold | HELP ME GET TO 500 SUBS!!!: yo i need help! i want to record audio from my tv and my mic which is
plugged into my computer. I use easycap to record gameplay. i want to do
this because i cant hear myself when i plug the mic into my ps3. i want to
do live commentary and trolling vids. plz someone help.
TheOnetrueDarth: nice nether heard of power director before XD
Underline ENT: Ahh I figured it out, my video would crash at a certain point everytime.. I
figured out it was the snap shot effect that wouldnt render. O well thanks
for the fast reply! nice vid.
Lady Sinovera: That depends on how long your video is. His is small because his clip is
short. If you want to keep your quality at his settings you are going to
have to deal with the multi GB file sizes. If you want them smaller then
you will have to turn down the settings. Mostly the kbs.
ikirstenHD: The default settings in this editor is the best to go for eg I render as
YouTubeHD because it's the best quality and smallest file.Use the default
settings and don't try to edit any video settings in Power director
especially any audio settings
pengaroo: epic video. and hey, thank you :)!
FxTheRanger: Bro u just sold this to me. I have a hdpvr a ps3 n a pc all I needed was
this !!! Woo I'm going to buy it now. How come it's so cheap wow
Corde712: Thank you :D found out my kb rate is 8000 and 1.1GB 25 minutes to upload
everything works fine :D
