TekLok: @mikehawklikes69 And its still a freaking backup, there are no real copies.
freak half the PS1 discs ever made are probably destroyed now. There's no
need for what you are saying.
Elijah Barnes: @slayer1561 funny thing about mine is my dad found mine for me in a puddle
downtown. we let it dry for a week and it worked again.
Elijah Barnes: what kind of ps2 do you have.
BrianMNDBPH: I heard there is a memory card exploit, and if you could play a backup like
that, the exploit is pretty much the same, so could you use the same thing
to exploit it, or do you need a gameshark?
D00MEDST: That looks stressful on the motor lol
DigiDavidex: @toyexpert939 yes
TheRoboticFerret: Why would you bother burning a disc if you need the real disc; that's
Victor V: @cemetary665isVictor lol I noticed I mentioned this yesterday, but the
directions in the pdf suck. I forgot to ask how do you do that straw trick
or the esr? you mean the esr disk patcher thing?
audiozama: I did this with the real FF9 and real Street Sk8er 2 and it worked. Both
games were not copies.
Elijah Barnes: @2pj2the2best2 Sorry for the confusion. You can't do that because the ps2
needs to think you're playing a ps1 game. Any ps1 game will work so you
shouldn't have to hard of a time finding one for cheap.
Sia Meg: Hey thnx for this video but I can't find anything to block the sensor what
do you use???Please someone reply to me thank you.:):)
1Sandwitch1: except there would be no way to use codebreaker with them...so playing
backups on therer would be pointless without being able to cheat....so this
is a fail...unless you find out how to use codebreaker with ps1 backup discs
TheRoboticFerret: @elijahbarnes65 Eh, I guess it doesn't matter now; I came upon 84 dollars
and I'm just going to buy some PSX games from eBay so I don't have to waste
my blank CDs.
Elijah Barnes: @cvhuisdv You need a legit ps1 game to boot a burnt one. Good news is it
can be any ps1 game. Hope that helps.
Victor V: @elijahbarnes65 wait I thought you had to patch it for it to work with any
mod, does it work w/o patching with the straw trick?
straitpimpeN: i knew it ff8 as soon as the playstation crap was off the skreen
Fabiuguz: @elijahbarnes65 i did it with Alcohol 120%
Fabiuguz: @elijahbarnes65 the image is .bin i added a file .cue that tells to alcohol
what file get adn the burned
Victor V: @elijahbarnes65 That's cool I ordered Swap Magic awhile go anyway so it
flameo4: ok so if i burned the ps1 game. i put the ps1 game in the ps2. WITH the lid
open and it spins and i play it?
TheOfficialSasuke1: yes i have a silver ps2 slim and i wanna burn ff8 and ff9 can u plz show me
a video of u modding ur ps2 or explain it to me plus i dont want to mess my
ps2 up lol i know how to burn the games though
Brian Nam: the ps2 can play ps1 games?
Elijah Barnes: @peter3799 Yeah, thats what I do most of the time.
Elijah Barnes: @audiozama seems kind of pointless but that's cool that it works.
Elijah Barnes: @cemetary665isVictor It is still a good idea esr patch your games though.
The majority of my games I have to use swap magic because I didn't know
about esr at the time.
TheOfficialSasuke1: yea ok thnx
Elijah Barnes: @MrCelebrityfreaker It worked for me and a couple of my friends. If it
doesn't work for you I can help you.
Victor V: @elijahbarnes65 Legal reasons my ass call it what you want dude there
anti-circumvention exemtions in the Digital Millennium Copyright act. One
states: "Video games accessible on personal computers and protected by
technological protection measures that control access to lawfully obtained
works, when circumvention is accomplished solely for the purpose of good
faith testing for, investigating, or correcting security flaws"
JimDevoursDimes: What exactly is a slide card? And can you recommend any free software and
or tutorials on how to put them onto another (blank) cd?
sirlloydoutcastofthe: @elijahbarnes65 i am just going to chip it. the ps1 games i like are rare
or expensive. i saw one i wanted from atlus but it was 100 dollars!
MrLostmyAccount: Thanks you now i can play Jade Cocoon! Im so happy right now
Elijah Barnes: @TheRoboticFerret Most games are pretty cheap now and totally worth the
money. This is good for hard to find games or if you have games you
remember from your childhood that were stolen like me.
TutsModding: whats a slide card.
Elijah Barnes: @pro2101 Should work fine. If not there's converters out there.
Elijah Barnes: well thats the problem. this is only for ps1 games. ps1 one games cant be
burnt to dvd's.
slayer1561: @elijahbarnes65 thats cool
ReijiRomio: Sweet FFVIII. :3
Matthew Cheah: what if i use a burned ps1 game?
Carlos Couto: Ok dude Thanks anyway
1Sandwitch1: Oh and there is no swap magic for ps1 games...
Elijah Barnes: i have another video on my channel explaining how to mod the ps2. make sure
you can run games with it open. also make sure you are using cd-r's or
cd+r's. if that doesnt work tell me what your ps2 does while doing this.
matt yo: There backups since the companies don't make these games anymore there
making things for ps3 and xbox360 and people do have the game when a disk
Is to scratched up. it's unplayable and since we own the game we simply
make a backup since there not at GameStop anymore there in the dump or
Elijah Barnes: @beelee100 i would suggest buying a swap magic. then you can use it to
install esr to run games without swapping but theres some games that skip
on esr and then you can just use the swap magic.
Mike Hawk: @TekLok you are stupid. there's no point in trying to explain something as
complicated as this to a retard like you. good luck, you disgusting nerd :D
lioncid: I gotta thank you dude, your videos helped me tremendously. You're awesome.
J4cked: So I tried it and this definitely works. My only concern is that the fact
that the disc holder is still spinning when you do the swap, wouldn't
holding it still for the swap damage the console or laser or something? I
don't want to ruin my PS2 by doing this.
Elijah Barnes: @syion100 I never got that far into FF8. I don't stay interested in games
that long but I've got this question before. It's different for every game
but when it asks for another disk put in a real game then swap it out for
the backup. The timing seems to be different for every game but this is
what my friend told me works. Sorry I can't help more.
Victor V: @elijahbarnes65 Oh ok so I just burn them, thanks I had to know because
alot of sites said to patch it on the "how to burn ps2 img" tutorials. I
thought it had to with the ps2's lazer not being able to read the DVD copy
Mike Hawk: @TekLok i know. that's why i'm saying you don't need to freaking hide it.
Shark Scout: thts a ps2!
