mrhoffame: If they sound this great through youtube, would love to hear them in person. Thanks for sharing!
okayplayer31: hi wiffy, thanks for you reply - much appreciated. not that easy to choose. Well, if in the short middle term I plan to get a subwoofer (REL )... the RX1 will be definitely out of selection... or they'll still compete against R100, LS50?
wiffy1m: If you can, you'd probably be better with the R300's because
they offer all the advantages of the RX's and the LS50's and
would be the better speaker in every way.
wiffy1m: Yes slightly better than R100, but in regards to the RX1's,
that's a difficult question because the RX1's and 2's probably
offer deeper bass, a bigger sound stage and even sharper
treble. The problem with the RX's is though they are good
for the money they do lack tight bass, which tends to be
a bit flabby. The LS50's do have a tighter sound, but lack
what I have stated previously compared to the RX's.
okayplayer31: is it better than a KEF R100 or Monitor Audio RX1... or B&W 685 ?
витали кутепов: Исполнитель: Ray LaMontagne - This Love Is Over
jaxwired: Last song is "cynical" by Chris Pureka
jaime ortega: what's the last song?
omarisoke: I listened to these little baby's a while ago and i was also very impressed by the great presence and soundstage they delivered.
But this is really something else!!!
I didn't had the chance to listen to these on a really good amp.
I watched all your video's and these LS50's are very good sounding with incredibly realism!
Thumbs up for your setup!
rs73only: a bit more 3 dimensional sound, due to a better midrange imaging.
LS 50 sounds great on a desk (monitor, or close distance less than 2 meters)
the Q300 are fuller when used in a larger listening set-up (2>3 meters) the bass range is more extended.
Conclusion: you can hear all the details of the music with the LS 50 ....(need the proper source and amplification) note the low dB sensitivity value of the LS50.
derbigpr500: How much better are the LS50? I have Q300 now.
jaxwired: Is a NAD M2 amp
jaxwired: It's full CD resolution playing. The iPod is only the remote control. The signal is coming from an airport express. All the music is in ALAC format.
kurosaki541: Sounds amazing but that's with a wireless apple so 320bits max Why don't you have a memory stick with 192kbit lossless that would sound so good you would poo yourself.
Jayavardana Vel.S: Hi, what's the last song?
Robbo8090: That's pretty great quality for wireless link up
kiton1000: Fantastic sonics in such a small package! Is that an NAD M2 or M3 Amp?
zenpmd: What is the track listing on here Please share! Thanks
Right2Carry1911: Could that because you're listening to it through you speakers? lol
Right2Carry1911: Obviously I can't reproduce the sound, but even on my $200 headphones I can tell these produce very clear audio and bass.
Toolpusher: I've got these shortlisted for my new rig. I'm thinking of using an Oppo 105EU as a source/DAC/streamer using high res downloads, SACD, DVD-A, the new Blu Ray audio-only discs, you get the idea. Not sure about amps though. Was thinking perhaps a Roksan Caspian with the KEFs, or I may go down the Naim XS route, which might suggest that I should use Spendor speakers, or similar. So many choices...
Johnny Båsund: It took me 10 years to make the dream into a reality, about a speaker in the massive stone.
Many thousands of hours of work.
Nobody thought I was going to make it.
I say, have faith!
Read about it on basundaudio.no
Regard Johnny Børge Båsund
blueboyblue: Wonderfully delicate and incredibly clear, though these are not cheap speakers, I think about £800/pr. Still, the results are spectacular.
199122vincent: They sound exactly like my speakers :P
KoRna steniker: Nice setup! The LS50s are bigger than i expected. The Dynaudio Stands are very beautifully crafted.
Sartore Gilbert: Ray LAMONTAGNE cd : God willin and the creek don't rise. "This love is over " Enjoy !!!!
TheHills44060: What a minute. Did you go from C1's to LS50's on purpose?
beingatliberty: metal drivers ?, whats the 4th hour of listening to these like ? ear fatigue ?, they sound powerful and very dynamic for size but theyre coming over as a bit harsh, too much taughtness and intensity for extended listening ?
eshedu1: to analytic!!! you need good tube DAC.
need rhythm, good DAC will cut adges from digital signal,
bit aggressive, analytic, analytic, you need add musicality!!!!!!
matthew gobbo: Beautiful set up. Always been a big fan of kef with there Uni Q technology.
rs73only: The Q300 are also amazing for the price, I've replaced them with the LS50 for my office... I planned to use them as rear surround speakers in my set-up at home, but they are too good to be used as surround .
rs73only: Yep ( great amp. I've been using it for more than 2 years with KEF 105,3 !!!!
(that combination brings tears to eyes "you are there feeling",..
rs73only: Not Bright at all!!! on the contrary. I tried them for a week in my Living room with the same Amp NAD M2 :-) then took the speakers to my office> Amp is a NAD 2200 (from 1985 !!) Carver C5 preamp (1991) + NAD wireless DAC /Macbookpro LossLess audio files.... the LS50 are on my big Desk... the sound is ..... close to perfect
Diatonic5th: Awesome! The sound stage must be massive with the LS50's. I bought a pair of the cheaper Q300's last month that sound amazing for their price.
ElimRem: there's an DTS-upmix of ray lamontagne online as well. its nicer to test a system with a DTS-upmix or super-audio
cockyt4523: how can you tell from a youtube video ?
Richard Joyce: NAD M2?
Richard Joyce: Dammit! I want a pair!
James Wong: Its way to bright. Maybe you wann
The sound is way to bright.maybe u can stuff a pillow in front of the speaker to tone down the highs
166nibbles: Because you wouldn't be able to tell the difference (in sonic terms) if you listened and blind tested an Ikea £20 table next to the most expensive la la equipment support table in the world, with digital kit, ,perhaps? ;)
jaxwired: Dynaudio Stand 4
dennis mclaughlin: JAX,what speaker stands u using with the LS50's?
