Ferrari458: Hi Dustin, thanks for the video. Quick question, will this method work with
custom roms (I'm currently on Carbon 1.7 stable) or do I need to be a stock
touchwiz rom that came with my phone (I have the AT&T S3)
astudios: Thanks again for these well made videos. Can you believe I've been gobbling
the internet to solve this problem and still havent been able? The only
thing im missing now is my ERI VERSION. Don't know if it has to do or not.
I find lots of info not related to my t-999 or dead xda links everywhere.
Stuck on edge.
Dustin Hawkes: I have only used the T-mobile version, and can't speak for any other
version, but I would suggest flashing a stock firmware to your phone with a
stock kernel before attempting this.
Dustin Hawkes: I only have the t-mobile edition, but you should try a stock rom, and use
the stock dialer and keyboard for everything.
Dustin Hawkes: yeah, read the descrition for the tools and just follow the video.
James Stout: what happen to the SGS3 IMEI NV GEnerator for ones with out any # Down load
link is not working in XDA dev..... thank you
pussiestroker: What does NV stand for?
AtonEDBD: I don't have the Qualcomm USB settings!?
Mike Rey: sorry for the dumb question, but after you back it up and save the file,
you say "when you're ready to put it back on your phone". is that the step
that you take if you lose your IMEI or is that still part of the back up
H0LYB0Y87: so i tried flashing back to a stock rom using odin but my sch-i605 note 2
doesn't read my sim card my base-band version is unknown and IMEI is
unknown as well...how can i fix this and or find a way to restore it.

doing this!! :)

Anthony Hartounian: Great video, thanks for the tutorial. Props to devs for coming up with a
solution to the missing IMEI problem as well!
Dustin Hawkes: Do you have it backed up already, or not? There are two different methods
that I know of and it depends on whether or not we need to create the
backup file using the sticker under your battery.
Steve Hamer: Im having an issue the nv items reader and writer tells me when I click on
read at the bottom. Failed... phone does not answer...
